Dunno if this has been said before but something needs to be done about the Orochi's counterattack animations. Counterattack is supposed to be its play style and yet lately whenever you initiate one - and I have seen it happen with multiple characters, players and bots - your opponent somehow breaks through it and is able to switch stance and attack in another direction before your own strike can connect.
If the animation is having you meeting the opponent's weapon in a specific direction, you shouldn't be the only stuck in it while he can freely attack you from another one.
Are you using the heavy counterattack or the light counterattack? The light counter should connect 99% of the time, but the heavy counter gives the opponent time to light attack if they are quick about it. I would say don't rely on heavy counters unless you know your opponent won't be reacting to it quickly enough
