I don't think the new characters are nearly as strong as most people are making them out to be. But ignoring pre-determined mechanics in a rock-paper-scissors type situation is a dangerous road.
Fair point, like you say there could do with being some standardisation, but I am of the opinion, and have always been of the opinion, that buffing is better than nerfing. Instead of nerfing warlord and warden, for example, why not give options to the people needing to catch up?

Which is why my opinion is fix the ones that need fixing. And yeah I noted most are called out as op in another thread, in this defensive meta they will be because they stop blocking and parrying. Getting them all to a decent place will make it fairer in that set of circumstances.

On that I agree completely. We've come this far and are still introducing new mechanics and strategems. Why not make things interesting. My worry is that the dev team doesn't have the resources at this time to revisit and rework the other classes. Similar to most MOBA teams struggling to constantly usher out new content by a specific deadline. Older heroes often get left by the wayside.

It's still early regarding the new classes. People haven't had time to deal yet. Lord knows I've done my fair share of raging. I came across a Shinobi yesterday that my blocks weren't registering on. Not one. It was so bad that I asked if his feat added the unblockable characteristic to his attacks in addition to the bleed. And for the life of me I can't to get the timing down on that ranged counter guard break. Time will tell.
