Last fall I would have said no way. The rate at which they lost their install base was just so fast.

Then over the winter they got people back and it has kind of stabalized. So, I thought maybe.

But then I saw the stories about how poorly Titanfall 2 has sold, and I am back to thinking UBI also sees that and passes on The Division 2.

Titanfall 2 by all accounts is a much better game than Titanfall 1, and by many accounts one of the best shooters out there in the past few years. Still, it can't overcome the stigma Titanfall left behind.

But, we don't have access to what it would cost to build a sequel or what they would consider they need in sales to move ahead, so really, no idea. Just speculation.

I logging specifically to say that this thread should be locked as it is very cruel trolling.

I'm very sure The Division 2 will come eventually. Might be another 5 years, more or less.

Don't like the thread bait title, though. Maybe a mod can change it so we can have a decent speculation topic?

    I didn't get psyched 😳
I should have because its the division

But I'd really want them to step up and fix current issues efficiently for their current game before I trust them with my cash for a second one.

If you read the transcripts of the YE earnings call from Ubi, you'll know they're pushing TC IP's and maintaining current IP's v developing new. However they've also said they're going to slow the sequel rate.

    All that said,

Troll post. Pure troll, nothing but troll.
I'd say may god have mercy on your soul, but you don't deserve it, let the devil do his worst.

Uh-huh. Maybe they'll make an announcement in about 2-3-4 years, when everyone forgets about this dumpster fire. Remember Watch_Dogs? Sequel was objectively way better than original, yet, it sold far less.

On the other hand, Ubi currently simply doesn't have money to invest in game sequels, because they're fighting another hostile takeover attempt.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TROLL POST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MODS: please change the title to:
Does anyone know if The Division 2 development is confirmed? As it stands this title is click bait.

If they were planning on doing a Division 2 soon then we'd be getting a lot more than they've shown for year 2. If they were planning TD2 then they'd be giving us extra missions and other additional content to keep the playerbase happy until the new release. That doesn't appear to be the case.

What we've got is just enough to keep hardcore fans happy.

They still haven't fixed the lag, but we get loadouts? The PvP is still unbalanced, but we get vanity patches? The hackers and cheats in the DZ are running the place. Is that what they meant when they said the DZ was dangerous? Ah well, at least we're getting 120% magazines, woohoo (did that sound sarcastic enough?)

I'm guessing that they're in the planning stages of TD2, probably getting concept art done and that sort of stuff.
If they use the same engine they can get the level building done by some unknown team for whatever city they decide to use. If they use the same city, they might expand the map to cover the area they showed in the trailers. The one with three dark zones and all that.

If it's more of an expansion then we might get the game late 2018. If it's a full new game then it'll be at least 2019.
Get comfortable, either way there's a long wait

    *tin foil hat on

Here's how you can tell it's in development

    Year 2 content quality
    Year 2 content release schedule
    There isn't a map expansion
"Top" Division devs aren't working on The Division, and they aren't working on Avatar (Someone on here said that)
