The Egg Timer isn't a Timex!

It doesn't take a licking and keep on ticking! If you're too young to remember the old Timex ads, look it up!

Every time my 6 hours is up, the timer resets and runs another 6 hours! It might as well be a 12 hour timer. My only option has been to pay 15 gems or wait 12 hours! I've seen several others with this issue. Anybody find a work-around yet? C'mon, man!

I have this issue always while using a slow mobile internet connection. But never if I use a fast wireless local area network connection.
It looks like the game resets the timer if you access the event popup menu directly from the splash screen after starting the game and it was not able to completely load your progress from the server.
So after starting the game, simply wait some seconds (until it updates all video ads to your cache) and then open the event popup. Or dismiss the event splash screen, play one track from the slot machine and then enter the event popup window over the map. Works for me.

Not sure if anyone else has only 15 days left but I swear one day it went from like 23 days left to 16 days. This event is a joke just like the disinterest they have in curbing the cheating. This whole event is such a blatant money grab and I would love to see how they would argue it's not. I personally would rather just buy the tracks instead of finding "creative" ways to die for an egg.

I think i have found a workaround.. sort of. If you play on two devices like i do, just switch device whenever the timer bug occurs, and choose local. This will this reset the progress to before the bug occured. Just make sure you don't lose any important progress seeing this will delete any coins, gems etc gained since the last time playing on the device. It's tedious, i know. But ill at least have a chance to comlete the event now.

There is one workaround that hasn't failed yet, but I've only been able to try a handful of times.
If you can be in the game with the egg menu dropped down so you can see the timer count down, you will get new tracks when it hits zero.
Yesterday was the first time I'd managed more than 1 hunt a day because the 6 hour timer doesn't work for me.
I set an alarm for a few mins before the timer runs out to open the game and let the timer run down. Left my phone on charge with game open all night and had new tracks when I've come back to it.
The fact that I need to do this though really pisses me off.

Same issue. Super aggravating. It happened on Midnight Circuit as well. These guys just can't seem to get their timer to work correctly. Last night I had around 50 minutes left on the timer, so I opened the game an hour later and I suddenly had the full 6 hours to wait. So this morning I open it again (about 9 hours later) and it tells me I have an hour left. Ridiculous. And why does it still charge 15 gems no matter how little time is left on the timer? Sometimes in the past they have extended event due to ridiculous bugs like this. Would be nice if they gave players that participate in these events sufficient time to earn the associated rewards.

Thanks for these suggestions! Both have worked for me and I haven't had a problem since. Thanks again!

I have this timer bug now everyday, it was working fine the first 2 weeks.

I am absolutely fed up with this game, every event has bugs, and it's always at player disadvantage.
