Nope, no parry. It is not an "Attack". It is like all the Bashes and Headbutts and stuff. You can only dodge or take it.Originally Posted by Cito2009 Go to original post
Ak ok, well id like to be able to see the kick animation better. It's straight in front and low, its a hard animation to see.Originally Posted by Charmzzz Go to original post
You cannot parry the kick, but it can be sidestepped. You cannot parry the punch, but you can sidestep. The punch can only be used by landing a heavy, whether blocked or unblocked, and then the punch can be followed up. Any light/heavy chain, can be chained into an unblockable heavy charge attack, but these can be parried, similar to LB's light, heavy, heavy unblockable. If they land a heavy charged attack on you, it "pins" you, making you unable to react to the follow up unblockable punch. HOWEVER, if they try to throw a fully charged unblockable punch, that one can get sidestepped. That's the one that knocks you down, and it takes a veeeeeeeery long charge up time. There is an animation lock following the jumping stab when you are on the ground, so they can't just start up another combo. It's a long recovery time. Any GB>throw, can automatically combo into kick. If they parry you, and they time it right, they can get an unblockable knee to the face, with a follow up charged heavy that's near impossible to dodge. He's got a looooooot of mixups. I think his biggest thing is, he needs a lot more stamina reduction on his moves. I rarely find myself out of stamina. Of course, I also don't just spam heavy>punch, soooooo...... there's that.
Centurion is the Valkyrie 2.0.
But you guys are overreacting. He has a lot of risky moves and can be hard punished. Most of his hits demand a charge that give you an opening. He has less HP than a Valkyrie and it is possible to block/dodge/cgb and finish the chain. His range is short and he run oos pretty easy.
C'mon, at least try learn to play, you lazy fighters.
My main issue isn't the mix up or his unblockables. Its how much stam he drains.
Missed a gb? Well now you are out of stam. Two punches follows a throw into a kick. If there is a wall you are eating 2 punches wall stun unblockable into uppercut into laying on your back. Or which if its a quick punch puts you back into the wall to repeat.
Also why does his kick drain more stam and counter law bringer shove?
I agree completely. I think the Centurion is balanced on all levels except the amount of stamina he can drain from you so quickly. It makes me play even more passively since one feck up at <75% stamina will make you lose the fight.Originally Posted by THEGODLYNESS Go to original post
I've faced some good and some bad Cents. The bad just go all aggressive and can be rather easily dodged at the right moment. The good ones mix it up with legitimate soft feints into GB, which seems way too fast to react to.
Also while the non-charged punches don't throw, they do stun and makes it that much harder to see where the next attack is coming from, what it is, if it's charging... and even then it can be feinted into a GB. That's my main issue, they've got seemingly endless combo's for little stamina cost, and one mistake on my side and I'm locked down waiting to take it and rise up with a sliver of health and no stamina left.
He's getting too much bang for his bucks.
Having said that, I also see a problem for him with his kit in 4v4. His little "Stand up and I'll bang you again" move makes him vulnerable. I appreciate that he's not able to gank me even more after he jumped me lying down in 1v1, but there should be another way to stop the abuse without that little show.
Still, since his introduction it's been a rule of thumb that the team with the most Cents wins. I have yet to see that rule broken.
