R u using outer ring binding for auto run so u dont need to press the LS button every time for sprint in steam control configuration if yes disabled it should fix the problem

on pc? xbox?
If it's pc, I use an xbox one controller and have never had this issue. But i'll try to see if I can find something helpful to you
