No audio in For Honor after Season 2 update

No audio whatsoever, music, dialogue, update, etc. Changing to headphones does not fix it. Changing sound format to higher quality/lower quality does not fix it.

All other PC audio works normally. Rebooting the PC had no effect.

EDIT: I have a Creative SB X-Fi currently using SPDIF out with optical cable to speakers. Drivers are up to date.

Same problem on PC, no sound after Season 2 update. Tried a number of different troubleshooting steps. After reading up on this, the issue appears to be widespread. I imagine we will be seeing a hotfix release coming soon hopefully.

Same no sound anywhere in game. Not on menus, not in in-game videos, not when playing any modes. Nothing.
Verifying files, rebooting computer did not help.
Also, like some others I must use Task Manager to shut down the game process after quitting to desktop.
I would think (and hope) there will be a patch coming soon for this.

I have my install on a HDD, always have, and I am experiencing the same loss of game audio as well as the failure to close properly.
Issue seems to be across both Steam and Uplay.
