Funny thing is DARPA is actually researching the whole Cloaking Tech. I'm not joking.

Not the way it was done in FS as that was impossible.

Anyone think not? Set up a video camera aimed at trunk of a tree (or anything else) and then position yourself and a monitor screen so the image on the monitor exactly covers the parts of the tree that you see. The monitor will look transparent and is now acting as a perfect cloaking device ...

... until you move. Once you move the image will no longer be in line and therein lies the problem with invisibility cloaks. They image on them will have to change as the observer, not the wearer, moves. Even in the remote (impossible) possibility that the device could somehow sense it was being seen and where from, just add a second observer in a different position but the same direction and bang goes the image again.

Dan is right, it's Harry Potter stuff and has no place in Ghost Recon as anything other than active camo. That I can take, but invisibility is a big no.

What I don't get is... if you are being hunted down and in survival mode, does it makes sense to have bosses you have to take down? don't you have enough with trying to survive but not also have to deal with bosses while you get to your extraction?

I know, it is a game and not real life but the logic escapes me since they could have used any variety of different things and make it more credible and immersive. Then again, it is UBI we are talking about with the "lets give them the minimalist effort" attitude since they will line up to gobble it down anyways.

But I guess we are jumping to conclusions (like we did before with the main game) because the DLC is not even out yet... my apologies for the assumptions.

Why couldn't this be a survival like the original commercial led us to believe? New area my foot, if you played the game enough then you know that the areas in the photos were already in the main games mission areas. They recycled maps again, won't let you use your original characters (doesn’t really bother me though since it is not that difficult to create the same avatar), and why start at lv 30 when the ooint of adding levels is to work up to it? It doesn't make much sense to me and their DLC continues to give me a 'lazy' vibe.

I don't really get it either.
I thought Fallen Ghosts was indeed some sort of survival mode that you can replay over and over again, like survival in the Division.
When you look at the first introduction movie It really sounds like it.. chopper shot down.. and you have to stay out of the hands of your hunters..

I was puzzled when the latest dlc announcement said.. 3 bosses in 3 different regions and 15 new missions.. gave me the creeps..
Sounds like the same mistake as Narco Road (smaller section of the map, new character, and new weapons not usable in the main game)

I really hope I'm wrong, and that it still is some sort of replayable survival mode and the missions somehow make sense to this mode.

But I fear it is not a survival mode at all..

Again.. to early for conclusions.. looking forward to more info and the actual release.

Based on announcement it will have similar elements as base game with different types of side missions.

In respect to the "survival" part. This is where the new enemies can come in. I envision the new merc squads randomly spawning and actively hunting you. Think Unidad patrol level 4 always active, just on a smaller scale. Of course, this is all pure speculation on my part.

Really tense and exciting original game mode.
this is exavtly what i wa expecting very disapointing.i'n glad i paid less then retail game for gold edition

Where's the freakin Knife Takedowns that were pictured???

You mean we get no knife takedowns?

    Ahhhh BS....

    This DLC sounds disappointing.

Now the AI will be like 'Terminators' - have a hive mind and spot you 2miles away in the dead of night in a rain storm..?!
It's like 'that AI' in video games that everyone hates - where you feel the computer is cheating - somehow 'knows' where you are...
And bullet sponge enemies!! Yes! Division players should feel right at home!

And a Crossbow that shoots (wait for it) explosives bolts..... Urrrgghhhhhh, snooze fest !
It's just predictable man, and it just feels childish. How to we mix it up, I know more blowing crap up, folks love that! Yawn.... yeah really...?

Man this DLC had potential, and would of been so easy to make it a cool survival experience.

I mean just watch Rambo: First blood for inspiration.

    1) You crash
    2) you lose all your gear and have only knives
    3) All weapons have to be looted from dead enemies or scavenged.

    Something in that vain..
