interesting....one of the wallpaper images (presumably from gameplay) shows knife takedowns

Im at least hoping the level caps, skills and weapons might come across into the vanilla game given it sounds like another new character and standalone DLC on the same maps, bit disappointed they cant get this part of it right.

I would have personally thought they might have excluded parts of the initial map for DLC content that you can only access if you own the DLC once unlocked, then be able to use them in the main game along with the weapons and skills and level caps related to the DLC, this concept would have made it more seamless and immersive and if it would have also provided in game marketing when playing in random groups to be able to show new weapons and skills to those who don't own the DLC and give them incentive to buy it if they don't have it.

UBISoft, gamers don't want standalone content, personally I hate switching between content, once I have earned it I want to be able to use it in the main game. We don't want reused content we want new content, rusing old content is just plain lazy and gets real old real quick

Before leaving the country for good, the Ghosts have one last mission: they need to evacuate the last CIA members and American civilians remaining in the country. On their way in, their chopper is shot down and they crash in the middle of the jungle. They are now chased by enemies better equipped and stronger than them…so they will need to play smart if they want to survive.
That alone says to me ONE MISSION, and that is to survive. I pictured a sort of Lone Survivor style of game - limited ammo, no vehicles, constantly on guard, having to decide between a shoot out, running away or stealthing and hoping that you don't get spotted. Really tense and exciting original game mode. Instead though we get this line directly after the one above:

The new Fallen Ghosts campaign features 15 new missions in which you will face four new bosses located in three different regions. The new missions will test your combat skills and the coordination with your team: you will have to eliminate lieutenants, defend civilians, and extract VIPs, all to work your way through to the heads of each region. In addition to the main missions, Fallen Ghosts will also incorporate new side missions scattered around the map. If you complete all the missions of a specific type, you can unlock a final activity that grants you exclusive prizes upon completion.
So it's back to what we've already seen - the same missions structure where you decide what to do and a few side missions (see tractor racing or llama herding) between... so not really one final mission where you're chased by the enemy after being shot down. Plus haven't we already done the eliminating lieutenants, defending civilians and extrating VIPs in order to get to the heads of each region? Isn't that entirely what the main game was?

I await further news and gameplay clips, but am currently confused as to why it was always first advertised to us as mentioned above, yet now seems like another Narco Road.. especially with that completing side missons unlocks prizes info. That doesn't sound good.

I'm right there with you, Rich. I was hoping for exciting, seat of your pants survival gameplay and instead it looks like we will be getting the exact same types of missions as those in the base game (with a small twist), be swimming in ammo boxes and taking down bosses one at a time. Again. It's a little confusing.

Unfortunately you've chosen the wrong game to do that with.

This, totally. It's clear that the game will be set in the right side of the map (NR was the left) which is mostly jungle and swamp lands, so imagine trying to survive in that, constantly hunted. Crikey, this game has so much potential thanks to that wonderful game world, why can't Ubi see it!!!

lol, been trying that just for fun given there isnt much to do otherwise once finished, find a tunnel pack with cars and whatever else you can cram in there and add mines and c4 and wait for a train and watch the show, looks like a big shot gun blast as cars and stuff erupt from the tunnel in a massive fire sending stuff everywhere
