    The Warden Problem. The current For Honor META.

    Hello! Before I get started, this is going to trigger every single Warden noob main in game. If you're already upset, click off this post because it's only going to get worse. Also before anyone mentions PK, this is ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY about PC-users. I understand the surge of noobs who play PK on console and I apologize to all the xbone and PS4 users forced to go against such cancer at 30 frames. However, I have a solution for you wonderful non-PK non-Warden mains on console out there. Besides, I'm sure Warden is just as cancerous on the Consoles, too.

    Peacekeeper, Warlord, Conqueror, Shugoki. I often see these Heroes complained about often, but barely ever do you see complaints on these boards about the true Goliath, the Warden. Let's first analyze this overpowered noob friendly hero.

    His KIT -

    1. Has THE BEST opener in the entire game that can also be used as a consistent chain.

    2. Has THE FASTEST set of zone attacks in game.

    3. Has the ability to completely turtle like a shield using hero (Warlord) while continuously being able to dish out massive amounts of pressure with it's insane damage capabilities.

    4. Has a very unique kit built for shutting down every single hero (see kit 1.)

    5. In a game that is CENTERED around rewarding defense, not attacking first and basically waiting your opponent out, the Wardens kit shines here. This cannot be argued against.

    6. ONTOP OF HIS OPENER BEING UNMATCHED. NOT ONLY DOES THIS EASY SKILL GRANT HIM TWO LIGHTS, NO, IT'S WORSE. IF FULLY CHARGED THROUGH, CAN GRANT A FULL-FLEDGED TOP HEAVY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! A FULL-FLEDGED TOP HEAVY. WHEN WILL THIS MONSTER BE TAMED?

    If you're a warden main and you're still here, you must now be thinking, "OKay @sshole, you've discussed all the pros of Warden being centered around his ability to open up turtles. Why not talk about the Warlord, Lawbringer or Peacekeeper?"
    Good question. Let me start by saying that in a way, you are right. Warden has his head-bash, PK her speed and LB his shove. The difference between these heroes and warden, however, is that they are EASILY punished by it. With Warden you literally have to UNLOCK, DISENGAGE OUT OF COMBAT and completely get OUT of RANGE to avoid the vortex. It's not even guaranteed. There's a chance he will vortex into guardbreak, thus catching you in the act. Imagine, YOUR HERO. Your hard worked on non-Warden non-console-PK friend, has been caught in his/her vulnerability with no point of return. Your poor, honorable, respectable and hard to play/master hero, tarnished, touched and soiled by the soggy, melty cheese that is Warden.

    With warlord if you miss one head bash that's a free Gb. Anybody with a good enough reaction time on PC can easily parry a PK. Lawbringer is simply shut down by a quick dash to the side. Warden, however, is unpunishable by any means. Even if the vortex was avoided. Which is quite sad seeing as how the Valkyrie (who has a similar version of vortex) is so easily punished by walking backwards.

    It's quite sad. Really. Almost feels like blatant favoritism from the developers. Anyway. How can we fix this issue? How can we BALANCE this devastating powerhouse? This noob easy cheesy hero with almost no downsides that cannot be punished? Easy. I've already thought this through. I'm a mastermind after all.

    I know what you non Warden mains are gleefully thinking. "You want to nerf Warden don't you ap3sht?" Actually, no. I don't. I like to go by the wise words of Overwatch developer Jeff Kaplan, "If every Hero is overpowered than the game is balanced."

    - THE SOLUTION: I suggest Ubisoft work on giving EVERY hero EXCEPT PEACEKEEPER an unpunishable Vortex, similar to Wardens with their own move set of course. Not only will this put a halt on our cursed defensive meta, but it would push other heroes to the top, giving Warden noob mains a run for their money. It would also help against the brutality that is noob PK mains on console.

    Warden/ PK requires no skill, after all. Trust me. They don't. I've done extensive testing with both these heroes. I am an expert mastermind. Thanks for reading if you did.

    PS: Warden mains. He doesn't require skill. Get over it. He doesn't. I know it hurts to read this but he doesn't. Get over it. Bye!!

    Since this Meta is popular u find so many wardens. Warlords too ofc.

    U know the south park X-Mas pets?
    They searched for some AIDS in the Forest and i Think they found it....

    +1 Had made one thread similar to this, and i hope somebody have common sense to understand that. What is point to have great zone sense, timing for attack and everything else if you are keep hitting the wall, some characters are too much turtle style and thats annoying as hell.

    I mean......he has the most punishable zone in the game and I would love to see a warden using just shoulder charge to open up a turtle. Won't happen because bash is easily punishable (even easier after nerf) if you get vortexed to death it's really your own fault. But hey I'm just a rep 10 warden who wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I regularly play just about every character in the game and I don't have a problem beating them. Funny its almost like playing a hero you struggle against shows you his weaknesses, nah it's easier to cry for nerfs right?

    The Problem is more about opening up him.... he just parries and makes a vortex fallow up.
    And when he is not op. Tell me what classes actually win tournaments......
    But Yeah his ultra fast zone atack is punishable with a gb poor guy.
    Did u Play kensei or valk sometimes against a warden? Nearly everything u do is punished with a gb or a direkt heavy top.

    Simple warden Taktic: dont atack! Just wait for a parry Spam vortex get stamina back Repeat. If u can hit a zone ok but not a must have. Then teabag enemy write "git gud"

    Pre nerf shugo, warlord and pk. Warden has yet to win a tourney outside of 2v2

    XD you are an expert mastermind? Get over yourself man. Let me guess how your games in for honor went, you won a few games with watever class you use. Then you got your **** pushed in by a warden and decided to try him out. So you started playing warden and being that you are still a low lvl with the warden you start winning alot of your fights against the other low lvl people. Then you came to the conclusion that you must be some master at for honor and that you just had to share your discovery on the forums. But let me ask you this, how come that i can fight wardens sinds their vortex can be punished if you arent **** at the game and can actually play and you mister expert mastermind cant?
