How is it supposed to be any different in 4v4s, as opposed to 1v1 or 2v2s? Parrying is the same, defense meta is the same, mechanics wise, nothing changes.

    Help me out here, man...
for me i find in elimination and dominion, skimish the players are slower to react and i find the competition really easy, in duel i noticed the competition is much higher and the players are better. not everyone is rubbish in 4v4 but i have no troubles winning in other modes, 1v1 and 2v2 i struggle a bit.

Most people prefer to play Elim and Brawl as duel modes so thats the way its done in most cases. Blame the community not the Devs.
Obviously people can play how they like...

I was responding to someone who said the devs intended elim to be played as 1v1.

Saying most prefer something is equivalent to making up random stats. Some people prefer one way some the other. I have no idea how the 100,000s of people playing FH feel.

If history has taught us anything these modes will never be played as 1v1s once ranked mode hits

So just FYI you can't run as a 4man group in dominion and expect to win. You won't be able to hold points, not sure what all you guys are complaining about either.

Also fun fact, regardless of what attack you use, top left or right, unless you are the main focus of the player his reaction to you is easier since he only needs to hit one direction.

It was in one of their early interview things back near open beta iirc. Either way, I'm not saying it should be played like that now, just that going back to their original concept would help with the gank squad issue.

I am willing to bet all my steel and a substantial portion of my soul that Ranked Brawl will STILL be played by people who respect skill more than ganking.

If you wanna win a brawl by 2v1-ing the last guy and admitting you lack skill thats on you.

There most likely won't be any 1v1ing it will be 2v2. The most effective 2man team is 1 designed to play as a team. This is typically a high damage character paired with a defensive character with disabling abilities.

You can the dev Romans thoughts on how 2v2 should be played starting at about the 1 minute mark.

I will be personally astonished if players value numbers over skill in ranked brawl.

If they do thats fine. I will continue to play brawl like a skill based player and I will take solace in the fact that I value skill over numbers and that I am better than them for that.

If people wanna 2v1 the last guy and make themselves lesser players to do so thats their fault.

Are you saying playing 1v1 requires more skill then 2v2?

After the last couple days, I am starting to wonder if the people complaining about gankers and watered down revenge (not in this thread, I know) are as good at the game as they think they are.

I have a minimum revenge gain, minimum revenge duration build. In my last dominion game, I kept the quicker characters out of lock so I could block them easily and in two 1v3's, used revenge to wipe two of them out before finishing off the third out of revenge. I then killed two in a further 1v3 before someone on his last slither of life finally managed to get me before I got him. That is eight and a fully unlocked feat tree (assassin) before anyone managed to kill me.
