I know there are several threads posted about this issue, but none of them are very detailed nor do they have a solution that works for me so I've decided to create one with hopefully more detail.
I have a dual video card setup that's not SLI. I have a 980 setup as my primary video card and a 770 setup as a PhysX proccessor. I have my primary display plugged into my 980 and a secondary display plugged into my 770. Ghost Recon Wildlands will only launch and detect the display plugged into the 770.
Things I've tried.
- As stated above the display plugged into my 980 is set as my primary display in the display settings.
- Changed Output Monitor from 0 to 1 in grw.cfg game doesn't start.
- Changed Main Monitor from 0 to 1 in grw.cfg game still launches on wrong monitor.
- Changed PhysX processor from 770 to 980 game still launches on wrong monitor.
- Change game to windowed mode, drag it to main monitor, change back to fullscreen mode, game goes back to wrong monitor.
The only workaround that has worked so far is to disable the secondary monitor while playing the game which isn't ideal.
I've also noticed this issue isn't listed in the known issue thread so Ubisoft doesn't consider it an issue?
Wrong file you are editing bro. You need to change this one instead.
C:\Documents\My Games\Ghost Recon Wildlands\GRW.ini
Yeah not sure why I put .cfg it was the .ini I was editing. There is no .cfg.
Change the video cards in your PCI-E slots around, and then check it.Originally Posted by KyutaSyuko Go to original post
Just run all screens from the 980 ? your 770 will still act as PhysX
