    Shinobi the gankfest

I think the shinobi is going to have a worse reputation than the orochi, the guy can practically outrun everyone and gank in every 4v4, and when he is the only one alive we need to chase him to the ends of the map.

    what do you guys think?

Not really. The double sprint takes stamina, so it will only last so long, as for using his range for teamplay, he is squishy, so one time being parried or counter guard broke or not being situationally aware enough to spot the sword behind him and he is toast.

Besides which there is a place for 1v1 called duel, everywhere else is a team game with equal numbers of players on each side so it is all fair.

I have a feeling he wont be all that good. Lowest healthpool in the game by a good bit, hes going to get slapped pink when fighting more than one person, and the low healthpool will make revenge mode harder to reach.

Then consider high end gear seem to work as a % off of your base damage/stam/defence/ revenge defence/revenge attack etc... So consider that most characters have either high base attack or high defence (warlord, shog) or at the very least a medium spread, so when they have 108 gear its going to be say 25% extra defence from their base stat, which is huge. The consider shinobi has weak attacks (If not the weakest), lowest defence, and therefore low revenge defence, and revenge attack, when he has 108 gear that 25% extra defence is going to be laughable compared to others. Same goes for the rest of his stats with the possible exclusion of stamina, So I believe gear will only widen the chasm between shinobi and the rest of the roster.

All speculation though, so well have to wait and see.

There's going to be two types of shinobi; ones who only play dominion or skirmish and run around chaining people from range but are otherwise free kills, and those stupidly good at the game who will be literally teleporting all over the damn place.

Couldn't agree more, there will always be those two types when it comes to high mechanical characters that have a high risk high reward playstyle. And one a tier graph the shinobi would get placed in the same category with Nobushi, not easy to master so your going to see a ton of bad ones making you think all (___) are trash and then you run into the "main of that so called class, and they run circles around you doing things you didn't know were possible.

I'll be very satisfied if shinobi is as hard to use as they seem. The first week just destroying shinobis and seeing a million threads complaining how the hero they were so excited for is absolute garbage...until week 2 hits and people actually know what they're doing and shinobi becomes a nightmare enemy haha

Hope so. Only reason to play the game is for Shinobi to be a ganker. Ninja is going to Ninja.

Defense is the same for everyone, Shinobi just gets less out of it for having ~30 less hp than the other assassins. It doesn't have the weakest attacks. That distinction is still held by conqueror. In the gameplay video, the sickle rain combo does ~95 damage (full combo after landing HH). Guaranteed light after any light or heavy also helps bring that up. Dodge LL in the video appears to do ~30 damage.

    How do you gank in a 4v4? I thought the game mode was 4v4 not 1v1 1v1 1v1 1v1...

    gank
    ɡaNGk/
    verb US informal
(in a video game) use underhanded means to defeat or kill (a less experienced opponent)

    Etymology 2
    From gang + kill.

    Verb
gank (third-person singular simple present ganks, present participle ganking, simple past and past participle ganked)

(transitive, Internet, online gaming, slang) To gang up on and kill one (or more, but always of a smaller number than the gankers) player in an online video game.

By your reasoning ganking in WoW isn't possible because it's 40 vs 40 not 1v1 (x40). Is online gaming new to you?
