Some of the comments from the devs in the recent stream were mind-boggling. It's like they're playing a different game from the rest of us, if they think the Kensei are Warlord are fine.

I don't know if anyone had a chance to see the gameplay before it was taken down, but the Legion Kick from the Centurion is like a pre-nerfed headbutt. Seems a bit slower but hardly take any stamina at all. So Kensei isn't allowed to spam his dash attack, yet these heroes can spam their unblockables. What sane person thinks this is okay?
Unless they've come out and said anything like that you shouldn't take their lack of response or action as something they are "ok" with. Assuming makes an *** out of you and me. That being said imo warden's "vortex" is fine now. They got rid of the late cancel on it. And added recovery frames after a cancel. preventing straight up spam cancels. They could technically increase the stamina cost. but you already only really get 2 "vortex's" before you have to back off.

IMO it's more predictable now because of the nerfs. it's still strong in that it's really the only vortex in the game. At the same time the rest of his kit is balanced well enough that it's really not a problem.

EDIT: also on the kick spam. it's super telegraphed. Like it's faster than bushi's kick. But it's almost as easy to avoid as hers. and as I understand it nothing is guarenteed off of a neutral kick unless a wall splat happens. Which is different compared to bushies top bleed poke and warlords follow up poke.

Could you take your 4 year old self else where? We don't need this kind of behavior.
Roman didn't state you had to wall stun after a GB to get a heavy.
He stated that doing such is "very powerful" for orochi.

It's still an incorrect statment since you don't get anything extra for doing that. But shaming the devs either way like this just shows how mature you are.
IMO I don't think english is romans first language. Same goes for a few other people they have had talked before. So perhaps he was trying to convey a specific feeling but it just didn't come out right.

Just get rid of "superior block vs. lights" from normal block. Problem solved.
Maybe once stance switch speed is normalized along with dead zone customization. Until then, such a change would create a significant imbalance between fast and slow attackers.

Think they need to add additional significance to the superior block on dash. Warden has Crushing Counterstrike on his Superior Block (and that follows with an attack even if sup' block misses).

Of all time I've invested in Kensei, only really ever focus on the super block of Grasping Pounce against warden by baiting Crushing CounterS. I've never really bothered trying to land sup' block Helm Splitters/Swift Strikes etc in other circumstance (except nobushi, but with guard direction speed change becoming universal i may not bother with that anymore either) .

Never understood that of the 'aggressive Kensei' videos. Why go through all that trouble (and risk) for a guaranteed helm splitter or a (still not) guaranteed Swift Strike when you could just parry -> GB -> top Heavy.

    Unless I'm missing something..?

You guys don't want that the hero with one of the most ranged damage of the game have a dodge-attack, right? I understand the problem here, but Ubi could just remove the free GB instead give it anything that make a Vanguard almost an Assassin.

Besides, I don't think that is what the move is supposed to do (act as an assassin dodge-attack).

Kensei have problems with the defense, like Berserker does (my main), what we can affirm is the problem with the game actually, not with the hero. Ubisoft need to put live the defense patch before mess with any of the heroes which strugle with the defensive problem.
