Yeah I tried this egg hunt thing twice and quickly realised it wasn't interesting in the slightest. There's nothing competitive about it, and looking for eggs is tedious. Add into that the stupid spin mechanic and that's me out of this "competition".

Trials games are fun when they're based on skill, not patience and gems.

A few minor changes would make this a pretty good event. Some of the eggs are well hidden and some require skill/creativity to acquire.
- Once every 6 hours for one egg is just tedious. I'd rather see a daily batch of tracks (10?) that all have eggs on them. Gotta find 'em all.
- Primary source of eggs should be hunting, not loot wheel spins. Occasional loot wheel bonuses welcome, of course.
- Add timer and/or fault limits to each track. Make it a bit challenging..and # of eggs earned would depend on performance.

Oh of course, I agree! But there's a difference between shaving seconds off your time and waiting six hours to look for one egg among several tracks to get the opportunity to spin a stupid wheel. I agree with the changes you propose - if most eggs could be found on the tracks, with some skill challenges on top, that would be much more interesting than this boring rubbish.
