What happens to our old armor stats? | Forums

I know that the armor stats are coming in with season two, but what happens to the stats we are ready have on our gear since the whole thing is going to be changed, are they going to be reset or something? Anyone know what's up with that?

the stats will change on them... do like me and full your inventory before the patch hit so you have plenty of choice until you get Epic gear but it doesnt matter if you are at rep 5 + since you will get epic gear right away.

As G0dzBlaze said, the old stats will be replaced with the newer stats. If you're interested, we wrote an article detailing a full breakdown of the new gear that might clear things up a bit.

What happens to the current rank 18 gear? With the new yellow gear it will be useless doesn't it? You can't even use it to change cosmetics of the new gear can't you?
So if you put a lot of steel and salvage into upgrading to 18 you kind of wasted it a bit.
To make a suggestion, can you add that dismantling maxed out gear gives you some of the steel back and a bit more salvage?

They are already giving us 4 free crates at the start of season 2.

Did you look at the changes? 108 GS will only be marginally weaker than 144. That's hardly useless. Also, maxing gear during season 1 wasn't a waste. It helped you during season 1.
