I've begun having this issue across ALL Ubisoft/Uplay games I own and only Uplay games. I own a monitor that max resolution is 1600x900 and all my Uplay games are no longer allowing to to play at this resolution. The in-game setting lock my resolution at 1260x720 and doesn't allow me to play at any higher resolution and my Graphics card is able to play all my other games (Steam and Origin) just fine at 1600x900.
The only compromise Ive got is finding the .EXE file and running it as an Admin. When I change the Resolution after it opens, the Game crashes! Is this a bug from Uplay games or from my VGA drivers?
My setup:
AMD FX-6300 @ 3.8GHz
ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
MSi R9 390 8GB
G.Skill Ripjaw X 16 GB
Hi there, DVSCROW_BIRD!
Hmm, I've not personally not encountered this issue previously. Is this a recent occurrence? Just to clarify, you have the most up-to-date graphics drivers installed, correct?
Ubi Support could assist you in more thoroughly looking into this. They can be contacted HERE.
A simple fix for some people is to delete the GRW.ini file which has the resolution in it.Originally Posted by DVSCROW_BIRD Go to original post

Yes. My drivers are all up-to-dated. This has been happening to me at sporadically since Late February. I've been doing a little work around by using borderless instead of full screen (with th 1260x720 resolution). Every now and then, it fixes itself and I'm able you go back to playing 1600x900. Just recently a fix I've been using is to close Both Uplay and Steam and reopen the Uplay Game. Occasionally it works, other times, I have to do a complete computer restart.
I am currently using the AMD Crimson Driver 17.5.1
