I've been catching the commercials for "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" that is coming out September 17th and I swear the first thing I thought of after seeing those futuristic planes was Crimson Skies.

I'll have to check out this link a little further tonight to see what the hype is all about:

    http://www.skycaptain.com/

One thing for sure, the movie looks pretty cool from the commercials.

Its based on an old comic book. Anyone who remembers the comic is apparently very excited to see this movie.

I was watching the trailer and such over at that site and that movie looks like a good Saturday afternoon matinee to take the kids.

    Interesting planes, be sure. lol

Will have to Google up some Sky Captain Comic Book information and see. I collected comics back in the 60's and 70's, still have about 5,500 or so left, but never came across Sky Captain. Maybe I'll recognize it when I see it.

    Stick-
you wouldn't happen to have any 'Enemy Ace' comics, would you?

I have an old Unknown Soldat comic or two that mentions Enemy Ace but no comic that features him

I don't recall seeing it last time I looked through there. The cover looks vaguely familiar though. Probably from someone (maybe you?) posting it here before.

I inherited most of them from a friend of my brother's when I was ten. He just gave them to me one day. I continued colecting for a few years, but lost interest and just put them away for my kids.

Some highlights from my collection include about 150 issues from early Amazing Spiderman 1st Series (my fav), many early 60's Marvel series and Batman / DC Superheros from the 60's and 70's.

I have many 12 issues, but only one 10...Casper, the Friendly Ghost...lol.

I Googled a bit, but couldn't find anything definitive about Sky Captain comics from the past. Just a new series?

And that's a typo above, I only have about 2,500 left, not 5,500. Can't edit.

My near mint Amazing Spiderman #129 is still going for over $1,000 though, and being that #129 is the first appearance of The Punisher, I'm thinking that the Punisher DVD that just came out might spark a little action in the market.

Maybe time to grab some quick dough for some PC parts. To heck with my kid's college funds, lol.
