    Idea to fix flicker and op zone attacks

    Currently you can zone attack no matter you guard direction, which results in the fastest zone attacks like wardens and pks feeling like they come out of nowhere. This also causes the flicker bug. If a character had to switch their guard to the zone attack direction before inputting zone attack, the flicker wouldn't occur, and zone attacks would be more reactable.

    Yep, had this idea to.

    I hope they do it.
    This would fix berserker slashing rush into aswell

    I really hope this happens cause for me the warden zone in particular feels like it comes out of nowhere. It is so hard to block when a character has two extremely fast attacks from different directions that can both be triggered without changing guard direction. Hopefully this thread gets viewed enough that the devs see it.

    Any attack you do from the right side you can made an equivalent attack from the left side. As an Orochi player I'd be fine giving up an instant ZA to be able to attack from from two directions with ZA.

    While I like this idea for an eventual change...right now its not a great idea at all. That is unless you like the current Turtle/defensive meta and would like to buff it even more.

    The defensive meta has to change before we start limiting any viable options that work currently. there's so few right now...lets not make it any less.

    The turtle meta is exactly the reason why the zone attacks need to be fixed. I know that Ubisoft promised to deal with it but lets face it. They don't. The turtle meta is mostly a PC version problem and since there are more console players then PC players ubisoft will only fix problems that plague the majority of they playerbase and that would be the Console players. It is how it is. But, if they fix the broken zone attacks the turtle meta will prevail on the consoles as well and then they will have to act on it. You should also keep in mind that not every class has a broken ZA that helps to break the turtles which makes balancing the classes even more difficult.

    I think warden ZA is the most fair among instant zone attacks, if blocked you can have a free GB.

    I think the most op ones are pk's and orochi, unpunishable unless you parry them and are extremely fast.


    I would just reduce the range of the warden's ZA, sometimes it literally hit you from 20000 meters.

    On the other hand orochi and pk can win a duels by just spamming lights and ZA. For me, they are broken.

    All of the ZAs cause the flicker bug so they are all broken. I don't think the free GB on the blocked wardens ZA is intended but they roll with it since apparently they are unable to fix **** and it makes the move at least somewhat risky/balanced so what else can they do?
