GAMEPLAY SUGGESTIONS: Changeable Weapons and Disarm

Just two ideas I've came with while playing For Honor and Assassin's Creed and wanted to know you people's opinions about it. As you've already readed in the title, the first idea is called changeable weapons because, obviously, it's about being able to select between different weapons.

    FIRST: Changeable Weapons

The idea is very simple actually, and I think would be easy for a team to develop. It's about being able to select/buy different weapons for each For Honor class. "But how's that?" Well, each hero would have 3 or 5 weapons available for the player to select, MAYBE weapons which can be purchased with steel. Once owned, these weapons should be selected at the start of every game, so the player wouldn't be able to change his weapon during a match.

    I.E.:
    • Warden:
      Weapon 1: Longsword
      Weapon 2: Shortsword

And so on. Each weapon would add a different fighting style, new combos and executions. I think it would not only be a very fun update, but also would supply the need some people seem to have for new heroes. Just think: if there each class has three different weapons, it's like having 36 different heroes in the game.

    SECOND: Disarm

It would be a new move. Just like the parry and deflect system, it would require a good timing. First, the player would have to parry an attack; then GUARDBREAK before the parry animation ends, and change the guard stance quickly. Just like the common Guard Break, once the "Disarm" Guard Break is pressed, there'll be a short window with the Guard Break shield icon where the other player has to react quickly in order to avoid being disarmed; if done correctly, the player would not only protect themselves against the disarm, but also disarm the enemy who tried to disarm them instead. While disarmed, a player/bot cannot block, barry or deflect attacks (I think the reason is pretty obvious), and their attacks cause less damage. But once disarmed the player's weapon would remain on the ground, and could be picked up the same way it's possible to revive a teammate.

If killed, a disarmed player gets his weapon back after the respawn.

    Concerning changable weapons:

What you're asking for, is to have the developers essentially make 12, 24, 36+ new heros. A heros combos is built around the concept of 1 weapon. To make a new type of weapon, you'd basically have to redesign the whole hero again. New animations, combos, balance those combos, new stats, new executions. The list goes on. At this point in development, It's an enormous task.
It'd also be annoying for players, as the number of moves we have to learn how to counter increases exponentially with each new weapon.

    Concerning disarms:

I think, no. Just, no. It doesn't sound like a move I for one would enjoy having in the game, considering the current turtle meta for one thing.
To me. it simply doesn't sound like a fun move.

Changable weapons could be a good addition, somehow similar vinductus heroes: similar combos but slightly diference, may just a more quicker but less damaging attacks, (longsword vs greatsword for warden, for ex, or changing dagger of PK for a main gauche to trade bleeding for easier deflect...)

Disarm could be great but it would be very hard to balance, maybe like a hard option for GB, but it seems to complicated tome for a balanced mechanism...
