Yup, those top tier players "must learn how to play against Warlord instead of coming to cry in the For Honor forums", including the ones who used Warlord to win tournies and freely admitted that Warlord is hilariously broken.

******* dude, you've just made my day, thank you!

It seems broken because people don't know how to counter it properly, just like the Shugoki, the Nobushi and the Orochi once did. Perhaps making the Warlord slower could be a good thing, but as I said, I find it to be a very useless character so it doesn't really matter to me. Oh yeah, and I'm sorry if I've insulted you or anything, it was not my intention.

EDIT: If you allow me to suggest, try playing the Story Mode in realistic difficult (especially the Tozen fight), it can help you since you will eventually get used to react slightly (0.5 ~1 second) before the attack icon even shows up.

Ever thought that when even top tier competitive players say that the hero is broken, yet only you who say otherwise, it is because you are trash with the hero and and the warlords that you are fighting against are trash it is because you are in trash ELO (since Warlord does need a bit of skill to play effectively)?

I mean, Warlord just got alot of tools, super big amount of unique mechanics ect. And deffinitely its not a reason to nerf it all. I think they just must make all heroes such an interesting as a Warlord are !
All thos uninteraptable, stabs after guard, shield bash after parry ect, charge when all he turn into fire ect.
For me its for sure mostsuper interesting hero to play

About headbut, as i already say - its actually must be hard to counter, because of its so small damage. 3 headbuts = 1 light attack.

I don't know actually since, as I said, I've came back a few weeks ago. But so far I found zero issues fighting Warlords, even the ones with a lot of items. But if you are so convinced I'm trash, we can always duel each other, either you or me using Warlord, because I've been able to win the few fights I had with it, but still found it to suck pretty badly.

Its funny how everyone is crying over Warlord.. while im 100% sure the problem is the turtle meta as it is now and not the Warlord.

If they nerf parry and defensiv play at all.. all you little cry babys will be happy because all the Warlord has left is his "awesome" 2-hit combo and his heavys with hyper armor.
The Headbutt stamina drain is so heavy that you can use it only 2 times before you are out of stamina (ofc you use attacks or even the jump-combo so trust me 2 headbutts not more)

and YES i agree the shield throw range is OP but you know what.. if you cant doge or counter gb you just deserve to die !!!!!

I'm a bit tired of seeing so much whining about the Warlord. Most people are saying he has no downside, but that is simply untrue. I also think it's like someone else already said, it's the "defensive meta" that really fits him since he is a reactive hero.

    Warlord weaknessess:
    • Generally slow as feck, especially his heavy attack is teleported from hell. Without super armor it would be completely useless. Parry it.
    • Short attack range
    • No good chains
    • Burns out his stamina quite fast
    • Weak to feints, due to his reactive nature

Let me be clear. I am a Warlord main, but I want Warlord nerfed. The two things I see wrong with him:

    1) Headbutt. It's spammy, and they can do it all ****ing day. If you try to dodge it, guarantee guardbreak on you and get tossed off a ledge 50 miles away
    2) His throw distance. Don't give me that "you can counter gb, it's simple". Can you counter a gb while dodging? Can you counter a gb after he parries you?
    ....
No, definitely not. If you try to attack or run, he can get a guaranteed guardbreak and throws you off the cliff 50 miles away. Even I can see that a Warlord able to iceskate a Shugoki across the ground is all kinds of messed up if all I did was parry him once and nothing else.

    - Generally slow as feck, especially his heavy attack is teleported from hell. Without super armor it would be completely useless. Parry it.

Lights are fast, headbutt is super fast unblockable with guaranteed follow up damage, and zone is relatively fast and flickers. Takes out a whole bar and has insane tracking too.

    -Short attack range

    Not really a problem
range is a decent offensive tool, but it is so easy to close in that it does not really matter. Plus the reach is longer than what his sword suggests

    - No good chains

Who has "a good chain" ? With very few exceptions, throwing the second attack of a chain is begging to be parried.

    - Burns out his stamina quite fast

Not any faster than other chars from my experience, unless you abuse full stance which no one does.

-Weak to feints, due to his reactive nature

This is entirely wrong. Warlords almost never go for a parry. Why would they take the risk as they can just block all day and headbutt you to death ?

from the context of your post it is difficult to tell where you stand on the whole nerf warlord discussion, at any rate

does it really matter how weak his chains are? I mean when was the last time the second hit of a chain actually connected? and as for stamina cost who cares? out of stamina? that's ok just block until its back, only warden truly benefits from OOS opponents
