They have said that a ranked mode is in the works in a previous dev stream but we might not see it until halfway through next season or even season 3, connection needs to be a lot more stable and some more hero balances.

People are still calling this game competitive? that's pretty adorable. Listen the reason this game is considered casual is because of low framerate and terrible connection. And for online tournaments people can just use a makeshift lagswitch to win. ubisoft listens to people who just complain alot. They said they were gonna put button remapping on consoles but we already have that. I was playing like that since launch. Also this fighting game is made by ubisoft (dont count on a company that wants profits above everything make a serious fighting game those require more than 1 year to make).
