If you watch the May 4th Live Stream, and pay attention to the graph of how they have reduced the value of gear to make them all closer to the value of Gray level gear, you will understand how it makes not sense.

It take away from the care of wanting to get new gear, since the value of it is almost useless, and it penalizes people that have already spent hours and money (on steel) or money on a season pass and developed their hero's with their gear.

So,...

It seems like there thought process was, ... Instead of fixing or making the Matchmaking system match A Gray gear hero with someone that is using a Gray gear hero, we will just make the difference in the gear so small that it wont really matter, then people will not complain when they are Matched Against someone with Epic Gear!!!

That speaks volumes, either not enough people play in order to match make, (which I believe because the network code usually makes a match not playable from beginning to end, so people have stopped playing) or they don't want to fix the match making, because with this network system they are using it isn't really possible.

They could also add new modes, sorta like Destiny I hate to say it, but even the Division, got it better than this.... Make Recommended Gear levels (or world tiers in The Division) so that players that want to play the Lower Geared characters will still be able to without punishing those of us that have already put in the time and money!
