Fast peeking is a pretty serious problem to me. In a game/series that is all about being tactical, the ability for a speed 3 operator with a small hit box like Ash or Hibana to sprint horizontally out of cover with pin point aim really urks me. Yes that takes skill and prediction, but it's just a shame because the higher up you get in ranked, the more essential that becomes to being able to play. This by itself wouldn't be a problem and I could deal with it, but the Internet lag makes that pretty much impossible to prevent as it only takes a split second to die.
People fast peek because they know they have an Internet related advantage and that doesn't seem like it is an intended feature.
I've though of two simple fixes that would solve that. First would be minor movement acceleration. Don't let operators go from still to 15+mph strafing in 0 seconds. Make them take one or two steps to get up to full speed like in real life. This would prevent people from spamming a and d in a doorway specifically to abuse that ping advantage.
The other fix would be an *extremely minor* reduced aiming accuracy while moving (or at least when you start moving), that way they can't be always be guaranteed to be aiming at head shot level. It would give the peekee a chance to fight at minimum.
I truly believe the number of people relying on the ping abuse to play the game is too high and something should be done to just touch that up a bit. No-one should be afraid to hold an angle because they're going to get fast peeked. I would say this would change the game too much, but jackal changed roaming forever so why not make other possibly significant changes. I'd love to hear what other people think about this and ping abuse in general.
Just a quick TLDR in case someone didn't read: I think quick peek ping abuse is far too relied on, and suggest that extremely minor movement acceleration and or extremely minor weapon inaccuracy while moving to counteract this.
A well constructed post, with a very reasonable counter-measures to the ADADADAD spam spawn peaking problem.
You deserve this.

I am only being 10% sarcastic.
Seriously, these are awesome ideas. Heavily borrowed from CS1.6 from the sounds of it, and that is a the best possible source this game could possibly borrow from.
