    Matchmaking from Stats !

How about Matchmaking about your kill death ratio ? WOuld bring way more balanced fights into the game. At the moment most oft he games you lose like a huge noob or win like a huge pro.

Its rare that the fights are even or close. Or how about chosing your character befor matchmaking so game sees your Gear stats for more balanced matches. !?

How is it working right now ?

KDA is a terrible way to measure skill rating, and no one knows how it works currently. Every chance he gets Eric Pope claims that it uses this or that and is very complex, but you can just ignore everything that guy says.

What the game should do is use a typical MMR system after character select, that way even if games are a mismatch (low population will do that) it doesn't matter as much because the mmr will soften the blow. Still not as fun as a balanced system, but I don't think we'll ever get that now, though mmr should be close.

The good thing with K/D would be that ALLL THOSE QUITTERS who want to make a good K/D or win lose ration will get "****ed " up ( Sry )

MM should be based on hero level and rep and gear score so pick your hero before the MM to put you into the right lobby.

Honestly. As long as you do not have a valid punish, just calculate every "quit" as a won game with a 3:0 k/d (for this game) but don't put it into "visible" record. This way, ragequitters soon quit quitting or at one point only play against pro's - or other quitters. And for those that get their disconnect by accident: well, one in a time won't hurt, and if it is a time where "the whole community experiences server problems" - well, then it still isn't too bad.

What i would hate, would be hero level, rep and gear score to be of ANY significance. Only skill lvl, no gear, no hero, should be a factor. Might make learning new heros harder, i know, but you will always inherit your overall skills and need only adept to a new skillset.

The current matchmaking isn't that bad btw. - on console at least. I mostly play against players i feel i have chances against. Right now, i win often, because before, i lost often due to trying out new heros. But before this, it was around 50% winrate for me. That is not the worst proof of "matchmaking as intended".

I quit WoW back in mid BC so I've got no idea how they do matchmaking these days.

An MMR, match making rating, essentially compares the overall skill rating of your team vs the other team. If you win your rating goes up, lose and it goes down. How much it changes is based on how close the two teams are in MMR. So, for example, if a low ranked team loses to a high ranked team their mmr won't decrease by much because they were expected to lose.

And going by KD won't hurt quitters because the game doesn't record that round for the quitter. Plus let's say I boost point A all match but don't get any kills (they're all too scared to face me). I've played an important part in my team winning, but according to kda I get nothing.

HM at the moment with this system you only fight harder groups with less good people in your team ( Is my feeling)
Ok i also get good fights. but hm. Shouldnt be super powerfull team versus casual or noobteam. Ok but who am i to say how this should be fixed. i dont know how it works ;/

ok go in a dominion with a level 1 hero and tell me how you get on, because at the way it is i cant use a new hero because i get destroyed by the higher gear players.

Honestly, then you simply need to get better. Of course, opponents have gear advantage, but not to a degree that they will destroy you. Maybe you quit a few too many games that looked like losses and are in a spot you don't belong? Or you switched from S-rankes hero to c-ranked? Many possible explanations.

Anyway, S2 will feature better gear progression, so that will help.

And that's called "Realistic"... Example: Say you are a female, and you decided to try to play tennis, would you go up Serena Williams and expect to win? Or would you have to play others and practice and put in the time and fine tune your gear, then when you get the shot to go against Serena you no do have a "chance" to win... But remember - Every match Must have a looser in order for their to be a winner!

Even with no Gear stats at all, If your "learning" a new Level 1 Character (that is why he is level one because you have not Learned or "mastered" them yet) you are going to loose because you don't know how to Play them.

Solution - I hate to say it, but even "The Division" got it sorta right, make some Arena's or Modes that let you enter based on your gear score - because your gear score is also relative to your proficiency with a hero, because you can not just skip gray gear and get him or her epic gear, they have to still be a certain reputation level, and your only get reputation levels if you play with that hero enough. But if all you do is mash the attack button, but play a lot of matches and eventually reach Rep 7 and get all epic gear, you will still SUCK! Because someone that actually took the time to be skilled and also have on equal gear will OWN YOU!
