I am just curious and I know everyone knows what I mean.
You are fighting a bot and you get a handle of the difficulty so you get a sense of what is safe. You start wiping the floor with them then they flip a switch and they are parrying, dodging and spamming their best moves before you even know what hit you.
Not complaining I am just curious if the AI is designed to do that to surprise players or its just a programming quirk.
I am 99% sure this is on purpose. I can reliably beat any bot in the first 2 rounds of a Duel, but in Round 3 they suddenly develop advanced block, parry and attack skills and have the evasion abilities of an agent in the Matrix.
There's got to be some threshold at which the game decides you are doing too well and it's time for you to be punished for your insolence. I have tested it over and over and they always step up several gears if you beat them too easily.
Glad to know I am not crazy lolOriginally Posted by Gray360UK Go to original post
In my experience, lv3 bots are way better than 70-80% of the players in 4vs4 matches like Dominium.
And about dueling... well, despite i find the AI of this game is very very good, they still bots so they are not a challenge. Never the less i find quite usefull to practice vs them, specially vs the LV3 Warden because from time to time that mother trucker enters on a "god mode" and becomes a master of feints, parrys and cgbs. I like to fight him because is very usefull to sharp my reflexes and muscular memory.
Yet this guy makes fun of me for playing vs bots. Seriously bro?Originally Posted by TheLastPandaa Go to original post
I like them how they are, they actually challenge you, and as weird as it sounds its actually as if they are learning from players, I swear it! I got vortexed by a warden bot the other day, And then a kensei bot fainted me a million times! Hahaha the point is that should be a challenge. And not just something people go on because it's easier...
People asked for level 4 bots that use spamables a while ago >.>Originally Posted by Trbevis Go to original post
Well, saddest thing vs bot's is: you can't simply say give me some solo fights va random lvl 3 bots. All needs to be setup seperately as custom matches without any rewards and stuff. I think all lvl 3 bots are rather easy to beat in an offline enviroment. Things get bad with lag though. Anyway, i still find bots easier then players. They don't fight as abusive, don't fall for feints and just try to fight smart with moves you know that are likely to work.
As Nobushi btw that is only ttacking when they attack by using some range advantage :3
It is kinda crazy how they can parry almost all lights. Good thing is, they often don't get in range for a bad punishment. And punishing a valkyrie for example that does her sweep is going to hurt her. And dodging it offline has become rather easy. Same goes for Shugoki going for some heavy hit's - or a lot of other stuff. Offline vs bots really does feel kinda "fair".
