Russel Westbrook.
Enough said lol
Not exactly an airtight comparison. They don't have two separate scores to worry about. Their points are automatically added to the team's. A wandering ganker's points aren't as much as if they were playing the objective.Originally Posted by kweassa1917 Go to original post
Candle has already stated that he does, in fact, hold points instead of running around. So the contention in this thread is all a big misunderstanding, anyway.
Seriously? Russell Westbrook is score-hungry? Im sure he would love to have some help to take the pressure off. And its not like hes averaging a triple double or anything while also playing at least above average defense (unlike Harden who apparently needs to save energy on defenseOriginally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post)
That is a terrible answer lol. Like I said Harden wouldve been a much better example. Westbrook simply HAS to do everything. Harden chooses not to play defense in order to score more points and what not.

Come on.
Not gonna respond beyond this because its off topi, but Westbrook has been a consistent ball hog his entire career even when KD was there. Do some research and google some old stories written about him while KD was there.
I say this despite being BORN in Tulsa and being a die hard OKC fan. I literally have his jersey hanging on my closet door right now.
I'm just going to continue the conversation about playing your role from my perspective so we can stop this thread from devolving further into stupid arguments.
As a Warlord, I get bonuses from assisting teammates, but I do not remember if I get bonuses from defending objectives. I play as if I do, though, and spend most of my time in Dominion taking and boosting one of the main points. I will wander out to help in teamfights when needed, but in my opinion it is important for me to sit in that point. Boosting the point can make a huge difference by the end of the game, as the additional points our team gains cannot be lost, meaning we are gaining leverage in the end game Breaking phase. This is particularly important in situations where the enemy team is controlling both of the other points well, as I am helping to mitigate the point differences by boosting our point. If I am sitting on the point, I have a pretty good chance of holding out (against tough opponents or being outnumbered) long enough for a cooperative and responsive team to come back me up.
Boosting the opposing team's "home point" is great, because typically enemies will come to fight often, meaning I get more fights. I have zero issues with roaming, capping other points, or teamfighting, but in a scenario where my team is cooperating and is controlling the map well, I believe it is in the interest of my team for me to control and boost a point for most of a Dominion match. I'm no expert but I'm closing in on Rep 15 with my Warlord, and whether I play point defense or roam in teamfights I typically contribute a lot of points, have a positive K/D, and For Honor Tracker displays a 63% win rate in Dominion with a Dominion "skill rating" of 28-29. I'm no champion but I must be doing something correctly, right?
Oh he was a ball hog. and im sure he complained many times early in his career not getting the ball enough. But its his show now. Hes not playing the best in the NBA because hes a ball hog. Hes playing the best in the NBA right now because he has the skill and is required to. Hes not just scoring points, hes doing everything.Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
Like I said, and ya its off topic, Harden wouldve been a much better example.
Reknown and points are two different things. Reknown unlocks feats, points win you the match.Originally Posted by CandleInTheDark Go to original post
You get less points from taking a control point than being afk on a control point.
Those 100 points you gain are juggle points, not acctual points you keep.
You get more acctual points by standing on a point 2 per second) than capturing a point (10 per capture).
A whole team sprinting from control point to control point, capturing them earn less points than 1 player camping a single point.
Yeah fair point, and as stated, if one of my teammates that gets both points and renown for boosting a zone isn't doing so I will stand on a zone until I am outmatched. But in a crux situation, who is going to be more effective when the teams are trading breakings, the player with catapult or fear itself unlocked or the person with only two passives unlocked? I have been on both sides of it, I run stealth, thick skin, crossbow and fear itself, if I have only up to thick skin unlocked...well good for me I guess, I might carry the team with that extra damage resistance, I might die, but crossbow and fear itself have both turned the tide in a 3v3 or in what was a 2v3 until I joined the battle and got a kill shot on the guy about to put a sword in the back of my teammate.Originally Posted by Elzziwelzzif Go to original post
