Just played a match where whenever a Valkyrie was at their last bar of health she would all block anytime she lost any health and regenerate. I noticed she would stagger forward for a but when she ends it but she blocked my Orochi top lights. Having some time to think about it, I could have waited just outside that range and tried to GB. Is there a counter to this strategy? Never really encountered t before.
When I play against some that uses full block stance, I just wait outside of their range and watch their stamina drop. Soon they will stop because who wants to be out of stamina right?Originally Posted by MisterGuyMan Go to original post
So the key here is:
1) Do not panic. You have whittled them down to no health so any mistake on their behalf probably means certain death, however do not force the fight. People can play super tight when the chips are down and if you force it too much, you can easily loose. Remember an almost victory is nothing more than an almost victory.
2) If quick enough you can get up close for a GB but this is risky and I personally do not like to take the chance.
3) Whilst baiting them out, by keeping distance their stamina will drain. They will eventually come out and are in recovery mode (something else they have to worry about).
or
4) Keep your distance, and try and bait their reaction. This is especially true with an orochi, thank to dash attacks and storm rush etc.
The only way Valkyrie can do full block stance is by 'charging' shield bash. I'd suggest you should go slowly in direction of opponent because you can do two things depending of how player will react to that:
1. If he is going to wait then try to get into GB range.
2. If he is going to release into SB then just side dodge and GB.
