I'm tired of losing fights and getting killed because a friendly wants to start swinging like a maniac. I believe the damage reduction for attacking a friendly needs to be removed and that a penalty needs to be placed. Kick them from the session or something for to much damage to friendlies. Maybe they lose renown. Something has to be enforced. Perhaps then, people will chill out and actually think before jumping into a fight or calling in a catapult, throwing a grenade, archers, etc. My entire time playing this game I get more frustrated with allies than anything else. The XP gain at the end of a match doesn't increase in a dramatic manner at all. The performance XP gained is practically a joke. People want to get a kill for basically no reason unless they're working on a contract. That just gives people the incentive to just start swinging to try and get a kill. If an enemy goes on the defense and the ally is swinging away at them, that'll build the revenge up for the enemy and depending on the class, the enemy will turn the fight around real quick. To get an assist you just need to make contact once with the enemy and that will count towards an assist and it will also count as a takedown. Is it a kill? No but kills happen with time and, with careful planning, easily obtained.
Agreed, getting more than a bit peeved with my own team knocking the living daylights out of me whilst trying to steal an execution which I have worked to get. Even worse, the bots are consistently doing it now too!
Damage and/or other penalties required to try and curb this unsportsmanlike behaviour...and adjustments made to the friendly bots in AI mode.
