    Bigger Stat Penalties...What?

I don't know about you guys, but I sure as **** felt the lack of attack, defense, stamina, and revenge stats if neglected them (same goes for throw, sprint and feat CD, so...yeah, *all* the stats). And yet the devs want to increase the penalties...at this point, I'm actually leaning towards the statless 4v4 side of things. There are finally going to be balanced stat options, but the devs make it sound like they will be so low that you'll likely be gimping yourself going that route. Ugh...and here I thought I was mostly ok with the stat shift.

Yeah having a stat sacrificed so heavily will really limit gear choice much like it does now. Very poor design choice.

No it means there will clear and defined builds.

There will be a variety of build available now rather than EVERYONE using the same old crap.

The funny thing is that on the stream the devs say that that see interesting choices being made in closed testing. I dunno about you, but I can't see myself forgoing a stamina stats for defense. Minimal stamina cost hits *HARD* right now, and minimal stamina regen isn't enjoyable either. So to me, there is no choice to be had with chest pieces in the new stat system (defense, s. cost, s. regen). And the revenge stats...yeah, I see people taking max regular attack on every single one of those pieces. It's only a choice as to what the secondary stat is going to be.

Larger penalties encourage a larger variety in playstyle. If you want mass defence under the new scheme you have to give up a LOT in stamina, so you can't just go ham, which directly affects your damage output, even if it doesn't say so on the stats. Conversely stacking stam will let you wail on people with less penalty, so you can try and control the tempo of the fight.

In the current system you don't really notice your gear downsides so you don;t really change your tactics at all.

Plus now they've added middle of the road for people who don't like to specialise, which is good.

What? Large penalties are what makes it a choice. If everything was just godly the difference between them would be virtually nothing.

I understand but..... what your're saying reminds me of the people who play division and all of those crazy build's they make. I don't want this game to do the same mistakes division made let alone be like the division gear wise.

Can you be more specific? I played the beta of division, immediately realised it would be trash, and haven't gone near it since.

I would rather have abunch of builds available to mix up the gameplay than everyone using the EXACT SAME builds as everyone else.
