I'm serious.
The trailer is awesome and Shinobi looks to have the agile fast paced combat I like (reason why I main Berserker), but exactly as happen with my main, how will Shinobi didn't fall for the turtle gameplay? Will them be resumed to "top light + ZA / GB-CGB" path? Nothing was said about that matter.
Will we have new heroes to be played like any other hero the way happens today?
I'm trying stay close of For Honor, experimenting new heroes waiting for the combat changes, struggling to use 100% of the moveset and make the game be really a sword fighting game, but day after day without more information just makes me not want to login again.
Well I'm not sure if they'll be there for the start of season 2, but parry is being nerfed (we don't know how) and running out of stamina is going to be more punishing (again, we don't know how). In the latest warrior's den Roman (spelling?) also said that he wants players to create opportunities just by attacking, so the turtle meta is, hopefully, well on it's way out.
I am severely torn
Shinobi
- Looks EXACTLY how I imagine he would. Love it.
- Twin Kamas? Hells yeah
- Teleporting/Smoke bomb whatever the hell moves? Awwwwwwwwwww Yiss
BUT
How in the name of god is he gonna be able to do all of that and still remain balanced. It looks like he is literally running circles around his enemies.
I'm guessing his fancy moves will only happen if the user times it properly similar to Valkyrie's bleed, she has to dash at the right time to get rewarded and hopefully the Shinobi's misdirection abilities will be the same, perfect timing.Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
It might even be a feat, like Javelin, but instead of throwing something as animation he vanishes and backstabs in feat animation.Originally Posted by Helnekromancer Go to original post
Regardless I am really curious about the way he will play!
I am guessing something along that line, given the devs said that it will take some skill to use his moveset effectively.Originally Posted by Helnekromancer Go to original post
KusarigamaOriginally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
It's just a deflect that goes into a second dodge. Watch the youtube clip. He might be able to do something other than dodge from it, but he isn't teleporting. I'm really hoping he's immune during the invis, it'll be great at re-positioning in Xv1 fights. Deflect the guy behind you and suddenly he's between you and everyone else. lolOriginally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
I have played Warframe for far too long to ever call them by their real nameOriginally Posted by Egotistic_Ez Go to original post
Nope, not really in factOriginally Posted by Egotistic_Ez Go to original post
Ubi named it like that, because weebs and NINJAS !, but you don't use a kusarigama like what you can see in these trailers at all. Like never. These types of kusarigamas are not used in pairs to begin with (some of them can, but the design is different and they are specific to some koryus), it would be stupid and hinder all the benefits and pros of the weapon (you have a chain with a steel ball in one hand and a close range fast weapon in the other for a reason).
It doesn't even really look like a kusarigama.
What you can see there is scorpion / naruto level weebjutsu, not martial arts.
Same with the centurion who, when seeing his trailer, looks more like a stupid cosplayed WWE pro-wrestler swinging a gladius than a real fighter trained to the arms.
I was hyped for these heroes, saw the trailers, I'm not anymore.
