Yeah it does look interesting. There's gonna be some quite tough decisions to make, which is a good thing.

    First Decisions to be made:
Should I stop leveling to 3 until patch?,
Should I level other heroes already rep 3 to 5?
Should I even attempt learning a new hero knowing there may be balances that will change how they play......???.
.Should I enter a cryogenic chamber until May 16th??....

    In order

Depends if you mean to main or semi main them. I have a berserker near rep 2, I main the peacekeeper and will be playing zerker and shinobi, with my peacekeeper already at 5 and shinobinot out yet, my own answer would be no.

How much do you play them? Also bear in mind grey gear can beat orange gear if they have more skill now (which begs the question should we boost grey gear now? I only bothered with purple), conversely if you have purple gear you shouldn't be at too big a disadvantage.

It's the risk you run with any character with the game this young, I intend to put a lot of time into shinobi, if I weren't bothered with him I would probably wait but I will go through any buff or nerf with him.

I don't know man, knock yourself out either way

Watching the Stream now. All I can say is 'Meh'..

Aside from Ubi jerking themselves off over their "new system" all I can say is that it's not exactly inspired, and in fact seems to dumb down the system. It also screws over the players who have invested lots of steel and resources into the gear system that they already have in place.

So what is Ubi planning on doing? Will Ubi compensate those players who invested steel? (Sometimes paying RL money for steel packs). Will they just lift a big middle finger to the audience?

Also #RIPSprintSpeed. I loved that stat for my Peacekeeper. Used it all the time. ALL THE TIME.

The team will be super happy to hear that you guys like the new gear system!

However, while the new gear system does introduce a diminishing-returns style curve in terms of levels, higher level gear (ie: orange) is still better than basic (gray) gear - so I wouldn't necessary think of it as wasted effort. Higher level gear will still give you better stats, we just made it so that the discrepancy between a high and low level gear score player is tempered down - so ultimately, at the end of the day, skill/strategy will still win you the fight.

I saw the curve, but what excites me the most is the stat-replacement. I makes a whole lot more sense and it's more fun!

This is a bit Off-Topic and I don't know if you are allowed to tell about this, but are the "2 new armor sets" really new, or just some little spikes or razors in addition to the consisting ones?

If you upgrade all your blue gear you get a heroic (purple) GS. When you upgrade all your purple gear you get an epic (gold) GS.
So I think we all knew it was coming it was just when. Most people who play regularly will have the steel and salvage to get started on the upgrade, so the grind is not going to be terribly bad. Just do it one piece at a time and it doesn't cost a dime.

To those that think they are being screwed over and this is a "money grab" attempt....think about what little incentive people will have to actually PAY money if the boost they receive isn't large enough to create heroes with over powered gear. . Previously You paid money, you got your OP gear stats, now those stats won't be OP anymore so you're upset....This game SHOULD be about skill and not stats, UBI is finally coming around to this point, even if they already profited from peoples desire to have OP stats that they felt would mean more wins. I feel a lot of backlash from the Revenge Nerf was due to people feeling upset they spent money to get that 108 revenge gear and it no longer was performing like they paid for it too: easy wins. I don't feel sorry that you spent money to achieve gear to help you win; this game shouldn't be a pay to win game and now UBI is ensuring it is going to rely on skill more then anything. They are ultimately hurting their chances of people buying steel stacks now if it means they won't be getting 'uber' gear that helps them win.. Most I feel will have more patience to grind out the steel for these upgrades since there will no longer be a big advantage that some feel is needed.

In a first view, i must say that i do not like the changes they plant to make with the gear score and stats. I hope im wrong, but i have the feeling they are moving in the wrong direction with some decisions. Never the less i prefer to wait with an open mind before taking any conclusion on this subjetc. Lest wait and see.
