For those of us here that continue to enjoy the game. There are two things we can all agree on.

  • The addition of more permanent side mission types
  • The addition of more involved challenges that contribute to the overall theme of the game...and also dish-out some decent rewards.

So I figured, why not combine them both.

The premise behind the story, is for the ghosts (us) to aid the rebels in rising up against Unidad/Cartel. We spent most of our time gathering resources (medicine, food, fuel) to simulate gathering needed support items and subsequently used them to level up our skills in the process. The idea I propose, involves the resource gathering of hidden weapon & equipment caches to aid the rebels. However, instead of using resources for skill leveling, each cache found goes toward a challenge total.

It is broken down as follows:

Weapon Cache Challenge

Locate 50 = New Patch
Locate 250 = New Weapon Camo
Locate 500 = New Weapon (not a re-skin)

Equipment Cache Challenge

Locate 50 = New Patch.
Locate 250 = New Uniform Camo
Locate 500 = New Clothing/Accessory (not a re-skin).

The new side mission involves engaging moving foot patrols (6 to 10 soldiers) led by a veteran, in rural areas (currently non-populated).

You will receive a rebel communication that a patrol has been seen in the vicinity of (insert location). Then a yellow mission area (similar to some story missions) will show on the tacmap. You need to search the area, locate the patrol, eliminate the soldiers and interrogate the veteran for the location of a hidden cache (50/50 chance on whether it is weapon or equipment). Once interrogated, a new yellow mission area somewhere else in the region (not in a enemy base, town, facility) with show up on tacmap. You need to search the area to actually find the hidden cache. Let me stress, this is not like finding skill points/weapons/parts. You do not know the exact location of the cache.

I recommend that a minimum of 2 patrol side mission are randomly generated for each of the 21 regions per day. The cache spawns should be primarily in rural areas.

This is what I propose and if ya"ll what to see something like this added in the future, then vote YES to let Ubisoft Team know.
