Did the nerf on revenge do more harm than good? | Forums

i would rather have a comeback when getting ganked with decent revenge but ill just adapt to the new revenge.

I just won Round 2 of an elimination against 3 enemies alone thanks to new Revenge, so I'm not seeing the issue.

Revenge saved me the first time when the 3 caught me, allowed me to kill one of them and escape. The second time, with 30 seconds on the clock, Revenge triggered twice as I fought the 3 of them, and helped me to kill them all.

I don't even have a Revenge build.

But it's more than decent, no other game gives you this sort of mechanic to help you in a situation that either you or your teammates got in through making the wrong decisions. You are given UI, enhanced attack, enhanced defense, unlimited stam, extra life on activation, knockdown on parries, throws, bashes, and activation. You just can't brainlessly take heavies to the face and one to two shot people anymore.

Er, not me. I suck. So revenge let's me have a chance at even small, 1v2s -- which is by itself doing its job pretty well... not to mention revenge activation let's me escape 1v3s at low probability, which is totally fine again, since without it it'd be no chance.... and I don't expect to win a 1v4 whatever the odds.

I'm a sucky average guy, and I don't have to be super-skilled, and yet it helps. So revenge does it's job fine.

That's an even better example haha. If you can't do it without revenge, then clearly revenge is not "ineffective." And I'm with you, i would never expect to win 1v4. There's four of them. Has it happened? Once or twice tops haha. Was i simply a better player in that situation? Guaranteed. Thats when you casually get the f*** out of dodge in dominion and hope for the best in elimination. Let's repeat this, there's 4 of them. Winning is practically a miracle. Personally, I'm grateful revenge exists at all. I've never played a game with a similar mechanic. Normally in a 1v4, you just f***in die haha.
