Did my weapon just pass through your body?

I like to play as the conqueror. He's a good time. I've got this issue though when I'm fighting assassins. You know, they're doin their thing, ballerina spinning around, dodging everything, cause they deserve that special ability on top of their lighting fast attacks and broken damage output. So they dodge left, I swing with a heavy left, and because they're dodging, my flail passes through their body but doesn't actually deal any damage. Right through them. As if dodging renders them temporarily incorporeal. It happens with the other characters I play as well. Giant kensei sword passing right through a spinning assassins body. It's absurd. Catching an assassin mid spin with a well placed side attack would seem like the natural way to hard counter the ballerina dance. But we can't even have that pleasure eh? Why? WHHYYYY???!!!!

Because UBI didn't want to take time to animate the assassins ducking Under your attack instead of spinning around it... OR MAYBE they are performing a lighting fast dodge around the weapon that is undetectable to the naked eye.

If dodges are mistimed, your side attacks will still hit, though assassins do seem to get a *lot* more leeway on their dodge timing than other classes. That aside, some attacks do pass through opponents when they clearly should have hit. At this point, I really don't know if the devs are going to get around to fixing it.

You get I-Frames when you dodge. Its not a bug. Its working as intended.

So there are times during a dodge where you cannot be touched or hit. This is not exclusive to Assassins.

So technically yes your weapon is passing through them, but no its not a bug. This mechanic is in most melee combat games. That way the fact that you correctly timed your dodge is not overridden by the size of your opponents weapon or its reach.

If you're referring to my comment at all; it's possible for attacks to phase through opponents while they are doing absolutely *NOTHING*. So yeah, there be bugs.
