Block bot can be difficult to differentiate with players with fast reaction speeds. However, playing against a particularly suspicious player motivated me to look into it and I realized block bot does one thing consistently that human players can't. It reliably counters heavy attacks with raw light or zone attacks (interrupt). This makes sense as it is the safest counter option as it punishes feints as well as stopping heavies.
Block bot starts light attacks within 20ms (well under what is humanly possible) of receiving a heavy indicator. This results in light attacks consistently interrupting heavy attacks during the startup or feint.
I don't think Ubi wants cheat videos being posted or linked, so find them on Youtube to see what I mean. It's easiest to see in video between Warden and Raider as it occurs several times.
Block bots are third party programs that automatically react to incoming attacks by blocking, dodging, counter guard breaking, and counter attacking (point of OP).Originally Posted by bmason1000 Go to original post
If you believe you've run into a potential cheater/hacker/bot, report them here so we can investigatethanks!
His point is that, YOU incorporate this information into your cheat detect engine.Originally Posted by UbiNoty Go to original post
Not for players, but for YOU COMPANY.
I do whenever I suspect something is amiss. The point of OP was to identify a fairly easily observable sign of block bot. The timing is too short to do consistently even with the fastest human reaction speeds. Interrupting a heavy with a light that starts after once or twice is a fluke. Doing it to every heavy or feint is block bot.Originally Posted by UbiNoty Go to original post
