Hi Folks,
Playing on both platforms and wanted to share my experience and hear other opinions.
While im enjoying For Honor on both platforms there are huge differences on each kind of course. Started on ps4 and switched after a while to PC because a few friends just play on PC
and i wanted to experience the 60 FPS in relation to 30 FPS.
Obviously it makes a huge difference. The whole game feels lot slower and its much easier to parry. In general lights, which is kind of impossible for me on ps4.
It feels like PC is simulation and ps4 is like the arcade-mode. I think to get the full For Honor experience you have to play on PC (if you let out connection issues, which are
a bigger problem on PC compared to ps4 for me)
On ps4 its more chilled despite the faster pace combat. Perhaps the reason is no Textchat (Toxic/salty community sadly). Also i have spent huge amount of time
on ps4 and i dont want to waste my progress and rep.
All in all im not for a 30 fps change on consoles like many players, but i think balancing both platforms seperatly should be considered due to coming ranked mode. there
are heroes on consoles which are simply not punishable (fast lights) and leave a bad taste. but i do understand that would be a huge amount of work and i dont know if ubi can pull it out.
Im playing games for all my life and im in my 30s. I alwas was a singleplayer offline guy but when a friend of mine introduced me to For Honor in the Beta, i immediately fell in love with this game. I know there are a lot of problems (i dont want to bring them all up again) but i think the devs done a incredible job with this game. Motion capturing and
collision for example are on point. Never seen such good work on that section. just wanted to say that bacause the bad comments taking kinda overhand. Ubi, i never liked your games. But i love this oneim pretty sure game is in a good place in a few months if you continue the good work you started a few weeks ago with transparency and informative streams and start listening.
so, its kind of emberassing but i own season pass for both platforms (never spend so much money for one game)any people out there who on the same side or am i the only nolifer out there

love to hear your opinions and gg
And yes. English is not my first language. sorry
I do so very very much agree with you. Though i did not start up For Honor on PC yet and guess won't do so - i think differentiated balancing and looking at console vs pc ecosystem will be something this game needs to achieve a happy and longlasting playerbase that might continue the For Honor journey up to Season 2 and beyond.
I even think they take the right steps .. just this single big one has to be really be adressed yet. I mean UbiJurrassic told us he will talk to the devs. But no devstream really gave us some insight on how they do judge For Honor on consoles, if they do see the same problems, if they care - whatever. And in the end, they really should care, for the sake of everyone.
The more people being happy with the game, the bigger the playerbase. Sure income for UbiSoft, sure future patches and possibly For Honor 2. But the "deadsayers" - i mean those telling us For Honor is already dead - seem to think the game is dead already. Though i personally do not think so, the way to achieve something like a "small overwatch", not for shooter-fans but for fans of medieval sword fighting, is still not the way i see Ubi going yet. They seem as if they would like to do it, but Blizzard cared about their whole playerbase. I always knew that they knew i was a console player and they did care about me. And i do write this from a "personal" perspective, because it is how i percieve it. I am the consumer, the one who bought something that is to my liking, but not perfectly though. So i want it to improve. But i feel kinda "helpless" because for now, i feel like a minority without any rights, a minority people don't listen to because it is "the console peasant". Sorry for being a little emotional here, but really, i have yet to hear a reasonable sounding statement from Ubi Soft towards For Honor on consoles.
I very much wish I could play on PC and feel the difference there's so many times where I know my reactions are fast enough to get a parry off but because of deadzone and input lag I take a light to the face. It is strange to hear PC players put valk in mid tier to upper mid tier because she can be very difficult to deal with on console. She is one of the characters that get punished the hardest but it can very difficult to punish her since many of her attacks are too fast to block or parry, so it makes sense why she's so much higher on the tier list on console. The game is very different depending on the platform. It would be great if ubi could balance accordingly but I'm not so sure it would be worth it to them.Originally Posted by Herbstlicht Go to original post
