How do you beat the Conqueror?

Like the title says, 'How do you beat the Conqueror?'. I main the warden, typically I have no problem with any of the classes except this one. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to beat this class. It's the endless shield bash - light attack combo that has really stumped me, not too mention it's infuriating stamina drain (God help you if you run out of stamina). I've tried playing mindgames and using feints but most conquerors don't bother taking the bait. I've tried dodging which will either give the Conqueror a free guard break or will simply set you back at square one (i.e doesn't allow for counter attack). I've tried being aggressive, using the shoulder bash and dual light attack combo of the warden with mixed results. I've found the shield bash for the conqueror isn't like other classes which seem to need to have a charge up phase and can be punished if they miss. Is there something I'm missing? Can someone give me some advice?

While I'm not a warden main, I'm sure we have a few community members that could give you some valuable advice regarding how to play warden vs conqueror.

In general, I've found that the best way to break a conqueror is to make them think they have an opening for their shield bash. If you can bait them out of guarding and make them whiff their shield bash, you should be able to get a few hits in.

I feel like an idiot for not thinking like that. I usually feint and poke, getting them to whiff a bash is way better...probably way harder, too. I will keep this in mind. Good on ya, dude.

Go with the shield bash whiff strat. Also, try and get them to fight you near stuff to throw them against to get the free wall-splat hits.

In order to address how I treat Conquerors in Dominion I need to quote Warlord Okeer from Mass Effect 2

I will inflict the greatest insult an enemy can suffer. To be ignored.

Because they are Conquerors. As the are right now they are the LEAST imposing and Dangerous hero in the game. Everything they do can be interrupted, blocked or parried.

Oh and lets not forget their most powerful move is the single most telegraphed attack in the entire game that is also blockable and interruptible.

So I just leave them alone. If they wanna sit on A all game thats cool. I'll just go take B and C. If they wanna try and fight then I will parry and dodge and poke my way to victory and spam emotes over their corpse.

(The Conqueror seriously needs soem love from Ubi. They are useless right now compared to other Tank/Support classes in the game.)

The Dev is right, when see the conq go orange i side dodge just before his bash then open him up with a GB, his main move him the bash so your get plenty of free hits from that dodge.

Conq needs more moves, in the beta I wanted him to be my main, but it just got too boring, there is very little variety in his move set. That's why I switched to LB. I tried bersekers too, but his move set is small as well, and boring for me.

Many of the classes need more variety in their move sets.

I'm hoping centurian has a lot, he may be my new main.
