Bring back old good Shugoki!

We have nothing how to attack. Every move is easy to parry. Nerfed Charge of Oni is useless and enemy can just stand. Because of long recovery time Shugoki can not continue with any attack to get advantage. Every fight is now like ... turte and be lucky to catch an enemy unprepared. Against skilled enemy who know that Shugoki can not do anything else is impossible to win. Cancel attack sometimes work but combos will empty whole stamina (more often in fights without armor bufs).

Shugoki need something against defensive enemy. Even Valk or Conq have free heavy after knockdown! Your 1.06 nerf ruin Shugoki gameplay!

You realize the charge was nerfed because it was an nonpunishable 50/50 right?

If you hit them it didn't matter because of the hyper armor

If you dodged he got a free GB

If you stood there and took it you get knocked down and lose a bunch of health

While I agree he may need a small rework, Shugoki pre nerf is not the way to go.

I got a sugjestion, indead the oni charge was really op but they just do the same with the law bringer (well the 50/50 is with a free light instead of a free heavy but it stay the same) maybe give him a free light after touch with oni charge or bring back the old effect only when the ennemy is out of stamina (cuz now people out of stamina just back dash until there stamina get back and it's impossible for shugoki to punish them without his oni charge) or even do oni chage the effect of a gb+side throw so he can stun people on wall an go a free heavy only under certain condition (and the time the oni chage is cancel he can go into a free hug)

Increase the stagger time on the charge to allow a light if timed right? Papa bear has a very limited slow move set. Good players that know how to fight him will almost always win. or maybe allow a headbutt after the second heavy in his chain instead of a single light or single heavy. I don't know something needs to be slightly tweaked I think.

I am a rep 3 and play on Xbox one. Maybe things need to be balanced differently then of PC?

This is exactly "noob" answer. You not know how beat old Charge of Oni. Oh, he killed me with charge, it is OP, lets spam forum for nerf.... I belive you have Shugoki hero on lvl 1 right? You never try that. It is 50/50 like all every ability in this game!

Free light / free heavy? ... it is not about free move after you fail avoiding Charge of Oni. Look, Valk have free heavy after knockdown too! Conqueror have free heavy after knockdown too. If you are so stupid that you will be knocked down, you deserve punish.

I used Charge of Oni most of time to get through defensive enemy. If he is noob, I know I can win by repeting this move. Like Warden, Warlord, Conq etc... if enemy is noob and not know how to defend, he will be rolled by same and same movements. But when you meet skilled opponent, you will realise that Charge of Oni or any spammable charges from Warden / Conq / Warlord will not help you! ...

Currently, Shugoki isn't bad, ppl who are abused Oni charge where dependend of oni charges free heavy and now can't compansate it (i know what i am talking about, i played shugoki for fun, and still have to much form the old mindset)
BUT i agree that Oni charge now is useless( except to train someone down the cliff).

I do think Oni charg should at least hit enemies against a wall and you can get a free light (maybe a heavy)
Because currently i does nothing. Not even stamina dmg.

Agreed, all they had to do was take away the free heavy, and give a free light. That way they may have to eat a heavy in order to trade a light, making a good surprise, but not an entire playstyle.

You know Shugokis would go through entire tournaments just using that move to cheese every fight right? It was far from balanced.
