I don't want to Ubi change anything about the hero before made adjusts to the core defense of the game. Everyone knows you should't try parry a Berserker and this is what happens. Block is free and you just need find a safer parry. Any real Berserker can't handle the stare contest of those situations, we are aggressives, we want attack, we want combo, and we are very punished for that.
The fights happens this way today:
- enemy stop parry because you fool them everytime with feints; the turtle started;
- sometimes they realize attack may be the best defense, where you deflect or dodge-attack without being fooled by their feint>gb; the turtle intensifies;
- you try like a job open the block; enemy can read your moves and wait for a safe parry;
- you win wasted or lose punished following the hero playstyle;
- or you stop act as a Berserker and use the hero as a Warden without ZA.
Block needs a cost/drawback. This is obvious and should be on vanilla, without needing a patch. A cost for block is a reason for parry, nothing should be more obvious. The game today offer a parry as an attack move, not as a defensive move. You have no reason for parry at all, so you can wait and use it when you want, just blocking. While most heroes have "ways" to deal with block, Berserker has nothing to obligate the enemy dodge/parry, but this is not the way the game should follow, because give to everyone an unblockable is limited, like Kensei and Raider are limited to this. You have 1 (One!) move. Just 1!! To deal with a common situation.
Block with a cost can punish a full turtle, and the players who do not want to commit themselves to change the momentum will pay for this until the enemy deplet the stamina bar, what can cost the game for the turtle.
There is no logic in win just defending and punishing who is really working for the win.
The same **** happens with Orochi (which I started to play when I have patience to log in), but at least he has a ZA and a fast top light (2 (two!!!) moves!). ZA can't be readed by your stance, so sometimes you can fool your enemy with it. Still pathetic and boring, by the way.
