Spammers on forums and how to shut them down!

Really? Thread spammers on a professional forum for a multi-billion international company?
We fixed that problem around 10 years ago.
The solutions are plentiful, tested and easy to implement.

This shows how Ubisoft is mismanaged, and that this mismanagement permeates through everything Ubisoft touches.

I said to myself that I might as well help them a little and start reporting the spammers, what happened?
60-second cooldown between reports, ie. I had to spend around 30 minutes to report the spammers, in the meanwhile I could see them just making new threads: LMAO.

Not really. Spam technology is getting more and more sophisticated, and difficult to combat - we have a tech team dedicated to it where I work, and they regularly tear their hair out. Sure, you can put an increasingly convoluted captcha on every post, but then people get angry about the hoops they have to jump through, and decent bots have little trouble with them anyway.

Most forums have trouble with spam nowadays. The only real way to combat it is to have mods constantly trawling, or to remain innocuous enough that you aren't noticed as a target in the first place. Reporting tools can help, but they're more effective for something like a personal email account, where you have absolute control over what gets marked as spam - a power that has to be carefully metered out in a public forum, lest the system be abused.

That is because you are thinking in technical solutions, instead of logical compartmentalizing mechanical solutions.
There are many ways to combat it. If Ubisoft sends me a check I will help them. ( I am not giving them anything for free, since I feel ripped off by them.)
If you sign an NDA ill share it with you

    And here they are again.
Really for around the one-time cost of an avg. monthly salary they can stop this spam.
This just shows how ingrained the incompetence is in the organization.
And don't get me wrong, I am not bashing all Ubisoft employees, I know for a fact that there are competent people in Ubisoft.
However, apparently, NONE of them are in a position to make a decision.
