Easy fix to knockdown abuse. Add a "super armor" (like shoguki and berserker) when getting up from knockdown. This super armor should last only for a split second. Just long enough for the player to be able to dodge a perfectly timed legsweep or lawbringer long arm. Can't remember if "super armor" prevents knock downs (I'm speaking as if it does)

This would fix stupid infinite combos valk/lb and any character with revenge that can spam knockdown.

LOL! Not in the context the revenge whiners claim, but the fact that the deves omitted the revenge activation sequence protecting you from incoming attacks and knocking enemies down. IMO it's clearly an omisision, as revenge activation immobilizes you, and that UB simply cuts through the knockdown effect.

It's strange, because normally UBs can be still interrupted during activation, (except the bullshi* Lawb pancake flippin' and shoving), which leads me to believe that the revenge knockdown is probably flagged as a by-product of a guard function, a sort of split-second all-block function probably.

Anyways, whatever the reasons, this is one case where revenge IS counter-intuitive. The all sorts of glitches related with "planting" UB into revenge activation seems to me a pretty clear indicator of
    unforeseen problems.

Even when surrounded by hordes of UB sweepers, revenge should provide 1 chance to run. Except since the goddarn sweep is flagged as a UB, it doesn't.
Gotta agree I think its stupid that a properly timed demons embrace is impossible or near impossible to avoid if you activate revenge. Once you're on his back, you're dead. same thing happens as youre saying with Valks leg sweep, Lawbringers flip you over move what ever that is, Even shoves, headbutts, and shield-bashes throw you off enough that its worth spamming vs someone in revenge if its 2v1 or greater.

But point still stands, they could've all just LA spammed and OP still should be dead from a 3v1. There's just no point in arguing that what people do in a 3v1 was cheap and you should've been able to kill all of them..

Agree with you here. Revenge activation should give that moment of invincibilty and knock down anyone that launches an attack at you, no matter the attack, UB or not. I've no problem with new Revenge, and am okay that it's now more of an escape mechanism, but to function properly in that role there should be no exceptions to the rule.

Something very important to this case: in the majority of matches with latency bigger then zero the valk will be favored no matter what. And don't come running and tell your buddy can dodge it or you can dodge the bots sweep. The game plays different vs bots and vs "locals", where latency actually can be really, really low. But in the standart games, valk vortex, specially on console, is just too ******* good.

Im glad theyve changed revenge to no longer be able to solo everyone. As you said, either you run, or buy yourself enough time defending for help. Just wish they would change the name from revenge now.

Valk I feel just needs more practice vs her than other heroes. Most are pretty straight forward and have little or tough mixups. Few heroes though need some extra attention to get the mechanics down. Leg sweep is definitely one of those mechanics

You can counter leg sweep with revenge ofc. If you time revenge activation properly, it will knock down the Valk that was attempting to sweep.

    It's a free parry.

There is more to Valk than just sweeps, some sweep so good they need to clean my floor.

Of course there is more to her kit, but most of the scrubs who use her just spam it.
