After grinding out my radier this weekend and getting pretty good with him (even before i got to maxed gear). 1. Side and spin throws into walls should always be guaranteed heavy. 2. I think a simple but fair and effective buff would be adding an "infinite" light heavy light heavy (or reverse) attack like the zerker has.
Fyi for the newbs looking to get gud you have to use the stunning tap mix up, learn controlled and spinning throws, feint affectively, play attacking play style and parry
Unblockable non-bash attack with HA? Yeah, no. No one should have such a maneuver. Granted, the Shug can get this with his regenerating HA, but he can't keep a guaranteed HA status going for specific maneuvers like you suggest for the Raider.Originally Posted by SplugeKing Go to original post
LOL dear god i hope you're joking... You already contradicted yourself in your own post but Ill make my point anyway. BTW i could go on and on. Cliffs next postOriginally Posted by Felis_Menari Go to original post
Can't speak for Kensei, never played as him
Heavies: All three have great defense, two have uninterruptible heavy attacks and one of them also has it on their unblockable (so the shug can have it but the raider can't? Right). Their good d and/or uninterruptibles make them viable against faster attackers.
Hybrids: LB ans valk both have solid defenses and offenses that together make them viable against faster attackers. Nobushi has plenty of offensive weapons to handle the faster attackers as well. Range, fast light attacks, unblockable kick that results in free bleed and heavies that if parried don't result in gb because of her range, so on that alone i will also say her d is manageable at worst.
Zerker: Plenty of speed, offense and defensive tools to beat fast attackers. O btw also has hyper armor too.
Basically every character has tools, that if used correctly, allow them to beat every character (exclude Kensei i dont know enough about him). Some are at a disadvantage for sure but if you've never played as a Raider against a PK, you should avoid posting in this thread.
I play WL, zerker and raider. I'm a pretty darn good raider, i win way more matches than lose vs everyone except PK, oorochi and warden. The matchups i face as a raider are uncomprable to the WL and zerker matchups. I do ok at best (definitely lose more than win) against Oorochi and Warden, but i literally never win against PK, i've deemed it basically impossible against anyone who has more than an hours worth of play time as a PK. God forbid she flickers too
If you haven't played the matchup, then you have nooo idea how frustrating it is for her to dodge around like a frog on meth, while you are sitting there with the slowest attacks and guard change in the game. Yet she dances around spamming light and zone attacks, when you think you finally have and opening for a heavy or unblockable she manages to lunge from 10 feet away and hits you with light attack faster than your already started heavy or unblockable attack.
Give HA to Raider Zone is a pretty good idea. I don't think it too much of a buff. Raider doest not have any tool of safe damage. His guard switch is the crappiest. You need to master wall-stun technique in order to get some damage from a GB. Hell even GB > Zone that eat half of your stamina doesn't guarantee 100% cause it can get parried for some reason. In summary, he's slow, in defense and in attack, he doesn't have guarantee GB damage. He needs buff.
Thank you. Even his throws into walls don't guarantee a heavy if the raider is sort of 'out of position'. Other heroes have hyper armor and one has it during their unblockable, in addition all those other heros have better offensive capabilities than the raider even without the hyper armor.Originally Posted by VanishWolfen Go to original post
