After 200 ish hours of reliable gaming except my last gaming session i was experiencing a couple of sever graphics glitches, grey outs etc. (28/4)
I then upgraded my game drive to a new ssd and moved the game files (via Steam) now i have tried un installing and reinstalling twice to no success, (30/4)
The tile opens, 1st menu ok, 2nd menu ok, then trys to load the game and it just crashes.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this ?

Sorry to hear you're getting these crashes, xlr807. Have you recently tried verifying your game files? Give that a shot if you've not yet done so. Steps on this can be found HERE.
If the crashes persist then please get in touch with Ubi Support so our team can troubleshoot this with you.

Is the SSD drive your drive with windows on it? Because it is an issue for some people still. Even though, it was suppose to be fixed in the 3.0 patch.Originally Posted by xlr807 Go to original post
The other issue is starting the game from Steam with the Steam Game Overlay checked under settings. It will crash your game too. The other thing is to make sure the folder ubisoft and all sub-folders. Have the security permissions set to allow you to access them. Took me a while to find the post on Steam. This is a problem with all of ubisofts games and launcher.
Had same problem, but fixed it. Go to here C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Right click on folder and go to Properties- Security.
Starting with "All Aplication Packages" click on edit and check the allow box, then apply. Do this for each one in the list. The only one that you will not beable to change is "Creator Owner". If you also have other UbiSoft games then you can do the main UbiSoft folder instead C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft. Which will change the permissions for alll their games.
Next you need to change the sound settings.
Right click on the volume icon next to the clock (lower right screen) click on "Open Volume Mixer" Next click on "Applications System Sounds"
Next the "Playback Tab"
Highlight your sound device, then click properties tab ( lower right)
Then Advance Tab.
Unckeck box that says" Allow Applicatons to take exclusive control of this device".
Reboot PC and try game.
This worked for quire a few people with the game The Crew, which is where I had posted this on Steam. Hope it works for you too.

- On some configurations, the game won't start when installed on a non-OS hard drive. This issue was fixed with our patch 3.0.

cheers mate, just tried all of the above... however my Ubisoft Game launcher folder does not contain Tom Clancys...... it only has, Cache, Data, Locals, logs and save games (puls a heep of dlls etc. i have changed permissions onn all of the folders however,
And the last drive it wason was not a OS drive either with no issues,
i did find a couple of log files that may help ....

Same issue. Followed all the tips in this thread, still nothing. Yesterday I submitted a ticket, they said to disable all services. Turned off everything except for standard windows stuff, nvidia and audios drivers. Still no luck. All my drivers are up to date. Windows 7/i7/GTX1080. Can't even run the benchmarks on low without freezing and crashing to desktop.

Bought it on steam this weekend. Uplay and steam are on same partition, not the OS partition.

So i had a chat with ubi support and they were so/so, however he did lead me down the path of finding that it worked under another user ( i have a Visitor account which was a limited account ) i then changed the privileges to an admin account and logged in using that account, opened the game and it worked!
so i went about finding user specific files and found :
C:\Users\**USERNAME**\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher
(note : appdata is a hidden folder)
inside here is a YML File called Settings,
upon opening in notepad++ i found a few lines of interest :

i simply renamed the not working filte to settings-yml.bk and copied the working one from the visitor account into my account, and its now working ok.
Hopefully this may help someone else
