this game is presented as realistic *aside from the emote, execution effects*and mostly has realistic executions that don't go overboard like MK fatalities which are presented as cartoonish. I do not have a degree in anatomy but I think these executions are more accurate depictions on how a body would react to these executions : . People wanting to see brain splatter and guts hanging out need to identify which executions would actually create this type of gore... When a Raider puts an ax into someone skull should that entire head be split in half?? Some executions have more gore then others and have limb dismemberment's (PK cuts off arm and stabs up through chin). Since this game has a more realistic tone then the gore presented has to match as well as not go overboard because its affect on us is different then playing a game that has cartoonish elements. An "M" rating for games that show intense gore are also games that have character models that are comic or cartoonish or graphically incapable of presenting an image that can be associated to real life. The closer characters models look to real life the more impact gore has on us; therefore, ratings could be adjusted based on the impact. I argue A "M" mortal kombat would/could/should receive an "A" should the models look convincingly like real warriors. As far as making the blood stay...I agree it could stay a little longer...I don't know if this was a performance choice or art direction so that'll be up to the ubi team to answer. I would enjoy seeing the blood splatter remain with the executions and only disappear once the body has re spawned.
