The ESRB in America only rates things as A+ (Adults Only) if it features graphic nudity and sexuality (or even sex scenes).

Violence, Blood and Gore as we currently have it is tame by most American standards. Hell I've seen gorier games in Prey, Doom, and other ridiculous games, and they are only rated M+ (Mature).

Realistically speaking, you could probably set the blood splatter decals and dismembered limbs and heads, even corpses to an "indefinite" duration, rather than timing out and "cleaning up" the battlefield.

Hell, if you really wanted, you could realistically add a lot more gore than you currently have, including disembowelment.

Anyone remember Left 4 Dead, or Left 4 Dead 2? Shoot some of the runners in the gut and they'll leave a trail of intestines as if they were party streamers. Still rated M+.

Your game allows me to punt kick someone in the plums and then chop their head off with my axe.

I'd say Adults only is pretty much already here.

    One thing ...

The weapons could get bloody. When I ram my longsword into the enemy, until my cross guard hits their belly, me blade is still squeaky clean.

Germans are very concerned about brutality, so of course it is 18+ there. It is a different thing throughout the world though with varying ratings. For Honor doesn't hide what is happening and executions already kinda glorify it, so no chance to the game in a country like germany to be considered something else then adults only. Not that i fully agree on this, but .. well.
In my opinion something we really don't need.

Wish i could dismember arms and legs hands and feet would be sooo nice !

you could implment it so you can decide to turn it on off and for kids you could add some kind of child protection that just unlocks with a password !

    Ok ... Seriously.

Even without blood, dismemberments and decapitations, this game is not something a child should play.

I am shocked. Parents of the year award.

Imagine if blood on the ground caused you to slip. It's be another environment hazard to watch out for.

If you're talking specifically about the AO ESRB rating than you are pretty far off. Mortal Kombat gets away with far, far worse.

As far as M ratings goes, you're already there. Unless you start dumping in sexual content on top of the violence, it's not going any higher.
