So according to the latest news from Ubisoft the gear stats system is getting changed.
Has there been any more details on how they are changing it exactly? Will I feel shafted when the conditions suddenly change the value of the gear I grinded with such effort? My personal feeling right now is to stop spending any steel until I know what is going to happen. In addition to the two new heroes, two new maps titled Forge and Temple Garden will offer new battlegrounds for the continuing conflict. These will be available for free for all players at the start of Season Two, along with an update that will increase the maximum gear score, adjust the balance of the entire gear stats system, and introduce a new Epic level of gear rarity.
I understand the reason behind this decision is that they want to make it easier to start leveling a new hero and that it will be an uphill struggle with no gear. Couldn't they instead change the matchmaking so that you select you hero before you get matched up with people? That way they can make sure you will not face people with higher level of gear.
What are your thoughts on this?
I've stopped spending steel on upgrades myself, but feeling shafted is a bit silly. Balance changes all the time in these sorts of games, and it's not like you didn't get anything out of that gear during the past season.
And my understanding is that it has nothing to do with new characters, it's just that the current gear system is ****ing terrible.
True, I did however just start a new hero which I recently poured a lot of resources into just before these news were released. So in that matter I haven't really been able to play him that much yet.Originally Posted by Egotistic_Ez Go to original post![]()
no news yet. Guessing they will shuffle the stats around to different gear pieces. maybe change how some gear stats work. Oh and making it so you can get all rarities at any rep level. but the higher your rep the better your chance is at getting the higher tiered gear. It would deff push steel buying more. And it would make those who can't grind out reps as fast have a chance to compete with those who do. It's possible that they could add in new stats themselves. though i dunno what they would do. and imo it would just delute a pool where most stats are not really useful.
