Berserker got one of the best buffs in the 1.05 patch, with his new and improved hyperarmor he can literally stand in your face and destroy you, as it takes only one mistake. Some classes whole counter attack kits don't even work on interrupting his attack chain no more, your either choice is to get away while he tracks you or trade-ins which if you have lower hp he always wins.

And before you get all high and mighty with the git gud and stuff, try to play against a berserk on a console, thanks to the still not-resolved issue of controller dead zones and the buffs he got (thanks Ubisoft for balancing PC and console versions the same, great job) he became sort of an uninterruptible tank with very good damage output, as some already compared him to.
The hyper armour really helps Berserker.... if he didn't get parried or blocked like a mfer. Berserker's attacks are the slowest of the assassins and he can only work with crazy feints. Your faints and mindgames have to be on point to get in chip damage. If you're playing against anyone who knows what they are doing (and they aren't playing someone with slow stance switches like Raider), you're gonna have a hard time as berserker.

If we lived in a world where aggression was the meta and trading blows was a thing, then Berserker would be one of the stronger characters. But that isn't the world we live in. We live in the defensive meta. You will never get to chain more than two attacks without getting parried and absolutely smashed because of your low HP pool. Let's not forget that many of your arguments about counter attacking can be easily applied to PK or even Orochi. PK's and Orochi's attacks are infinitely faster, chain easier and can be used to interrupt any attack without having to take a hit (if you time your attacks right). Why would I play Berserker?

My question is, (if there is such) which class is easiest to play and most forgiving?
In general, you want a fast guard switch, non adaptive block & an easy offence. So Warden, Conq, Warlord & Valky.
If you are used to defend yourself by spacing, PK & Orochi.

Probably Warlord, Warden & PK are 3 easiest to play.

easiest to play and most forgiving? PK/Warden/Warlord i guess

If you want a hero who have to work for his victories take raider/kensei/nobushi/zerker/ since patch 1.6 shugoki

High and mighty? When did I say git gud? Sounds like you're projecting.

Berserker can only chain heavies after any light. Without a solid feint game, that makes berserker as easy to parry consistently as raider or shugoki. Even if you suck at parrying, all it takes is one back dodge to reset. If you're relying exclusively on interrupting to win (i'm guessing you're PK or Orochi if you're complaining about counters), then yes, maybe it is just a matter of "git gud"

It gets even worse you take his feats into account. Deadly gives him a 15% damage increase, Flesh Wound gives him 25% damage reduction, Tough as Nails gives him +35 HP putting him at 175HP, and lastly Auto-revive. This allows him to revive himself without the help of another player. These can all be equipped at the same time. This is before factoring in gear as well which makes him even more ridiculous.

Fighting a 108 Warlord with all his feats active is like fighting a damn raid boss. Insane damage, tanky as helll with 55% damage reduction if they go full defense with their gear, highest HP hero in the game and the ability to self revive. Fighting one Warlord is like fighting 2 or 3 other players. Then if you finally kill him, you now have to do it again because he just self-revived.
Exept when he is faced with some of the unblockable spam classes (Warden, Conq) he's kina screwed, honestly. He cant interrupt Warden with a light, he cant get anything off dodging conq's charge. He's so focused on traditional defense he's screwed in almost every other area.

If I was going to give you a class to play, I'd give you Warden. Even since the nerf, he's by far some of the best when it comes to that.

I'd look at the knights as Archetypes of the easiest of their styles. Warden is by far the best Vanguard, able to brute force or turtle as needed. Conq is a reactionary giant, but much more limited like most heavies are. PK is by far the assassin of legend, and Lawbringer, is by far one of the best counterattackers.

    Try warden.

You have fast light attacks, the ability to punish after any parry with shield counter (and if they attack from top or right side, you get a free heavy as well built in) and you have head butt to break turtles. For Honor is my first fighting game and I played nothing but Warlord until rep 3 and I do fairly well. If you're struggling with For Honor, Warlord's your man. Learn him and you will have got most of your fundamentals down.

Also, don't listen to this guy when it comes to Kensei. Kensei takes quite a lot of effort to make him work. Sure, he's easier than Berserker but only slightly. Warden is pretty basic but for some reason I never liked how you have to tap light twice to get the confirmed second side light. If you learn Warlord, LB will be a natural fit for you (more or less).
Ok I might maybe try warlord then. I hate how he looks but I need some wins not to lose spirit entirely.
    Thnks!

Kensei is easy to use when you fight people who can't block or parry or cgb or tie their shoelaces
