Its so strange that the patch notes tell about small fixes hardly anyone encounters, but the changes to mechanics and HUD that 100% of the player base can experience are not mentioned, like the ability to tweak the HUD in a more detailed manner which is something a lot of us wanted. Also the welcomed changes to the enemy AI behavior

but wait - there is another thing that changed in update 3.5 - the rebel support skills now have individual cool downs, so asking for one type of rebel support will not put the other ones on a cooldown. now you can ask for a rebel diversion from the north, send the ghosts to attack from the east and immeditely call for rebel detail to join you from the south. for example.
this makes more sense if you read the description in the game hints though it makes the game easier, for obvious reasons.
what do you guys think of this change? a good thing or a bad one?
I actually haven't paid enough attention to realize that. Thanks for putting it to my attention sooner. I quite like that change! It makes a lot of sense.
There's a whole thread on some other site that lists other things changed as well that I caught sight of. I'll quote the main post here http://farcrymods.freeforums.net/thr...hanges-patch-3
I swear they fine tuned the vehicles/helis as well. They seem to control so much better now.Hey Ghosts!
So the patch notes for 3.5 were pretty slim... in fact it almost appeared as if nothing major had been changed at all. However a lot of folks have been finding a bunch of undocumented changes to the game. So far I've discovered the following:
* There are a ton more HUD options in the options menu. You can turn off enemy red/green/blue "clouds" on the minimap that tell where enemies probably are. You can also leave the mininmap on but turn off enemy markers on it (unfortunately this particular setting is also linked to the markers over enemies heads so you can't have one or the other off - they are either all on or all off). There's a few other options as well (grenade icons, friendly team info, etc etc). Check out all the settings in the menu
* Because of the above Synch Shot now works correctly even if the HUD is off. That was bugged before. Glad to see it fixed.
* Sadly you cannot turn off the enemy "alert" directional arrows and they show up even if you have the HUD completely turned off (which seems like a bug introduced by adding the new settings)
* The Tac Map (overworld map) now has the in game time on it so you don't have to pull up your drone or binoculars to get the time. Also they added locational data (i.e. Longitude and Latitude) which will make it easier for us to share cool spots and locations of easter eggs and the like. I'm 99% certain this was added for some upcoming challenges where you have to decode locations and then travel to them.
* This may be a placebo, but I really feel like enemy AI was tuned a bit. I noticed I had missed shots from a distance and they were not immediately alerted. Instead they turned suspicious and start scanning for me. There were a few snipers I could quickly take out with follow up shots before they alerted the base. Also using the rebel mortar did pinpoint my exact location but did put the base on alert and hunting. Hopefully we are seeing more tweaks to how enemies are alerted and react in more natural or expected ways.
* Rebel vehicle drops have been altered... I dunno if this is a bug or them trying to counter vehicles dropping onto buildings and inside of enemy compounds, but now when I order a truck or armored SUV it appears a fair distance away (off my minimap - I have to go looking for it) and almost always appears alongside a major road... Not caring for this change a whole lot. I think it needs to be tweaked more if they are adjusting it. The vehicle should not spawn so far away if there is a suitable place closer.
Anyway that's the new stuff that I've found or been shown so far.
Have you guys found any new undocumented changes or additions??
I wouldn't be surprised that most of the changes are still work in progress and therefore not meantioned to prevent a ****storm that this community is coming up with anytime something isn't as expected. Now people are happy about the things that improved - although some of them have still minor bugs.
In any case 3.5 for PC is a big improvement even though it has some minor issues![]()
By the way this would also explain why they just patched the PC as it is the smallest group of players so a good testing ground if major bugs came up and to see how the changes are perceived.
It did introduce some minor bugs/annoyances, but without a doubt the patch is a nice step in the right direction. I hope they continue on this route and keep making the game better. And hopefully add a nice chunk of items/features that we would like.Originally Posted by biomag83 Go to original post
Tagging supplies now counts for your team instead of each player individually in CO-OP mode.Have you guys found any new undocumented changes or additions??
Good change. I like it. It creates more tactical advantage for additional support.there is another thing that changed in update 3.5 - the rebel support skills now have individual cool downs, so asking for one type of rebel support will not put the other ones on a cooldown. now you can ask for a rebel diversion from the north, send the ghosts to attack from the east and immeditely call for rebel detail to join you from the south. for example.
