I play solo so do kills by my team count as a kill. My team has blown up 2 unidad vehicles but kills not counted. Only when I played a gunner has the kill been counted. If only the kills by me are counted I cannot drive and play gunner as the AI's don't drive.

BTW I have only found one mobile vehicle apart from a rebel vehicle which I stole.

You must kill the Unidad Soldiers by yourself per mounted Gun.
Call in the armored SUV from Pac, drive to the FOB, kill Soldiers and leave when the Choppers arrive.
Rinse and repeat.
